@AndyMitten The game where they beat us 0-3 around 2007 is one of the best home ground atmospheres I’ve been in from about an hour before kick off. The 3-2 a few years later is one of my favourite Euro away performances I’ve seen as well.

@CantonaSean Agree with that. We look good when we knock the ball about quickly… 1 touch passing, playing between the lines… Unfortunately we only seem to be able to sustain that for 5 mins before taking loads of touches and slowing everything down. Fine in Europa, but exposed domestically.

For example bilbao finishing 4th a very good team but with our quality alongside the system Amorim had it worked against a slower more technical side hence why we did so well in the competition , but nearly every premier league game last season we were overran

I get why he wanted this system implemented, it worked abroad and works in European comps where top teams play slower but the prem is the fastest paced league in the world and not having 3 midfielders has caused us to be dominated and needs implementing if he wants to stay
