I think I need to allow them to walk through each other. They were blocking each other at the door (the "X" thing) and out of desparation ended up tearing down a wall of the house.

curious when they'll realize they've boxed Ember in with the walls and the two beds they've built (yes, those blobs are beds). I don't think they have a deconstruct action

it's more fun with Sol controlling the colonists. I'm starting to let them build proper houses and ideally towns, tweaking their MCP tools to make it easier. while typing this I feel like I'm starting to speak like those colonists, if you watch their GPT speak too long it messes with you 😅

the luna agents don't have it easy
English

@fleetingbytes yeah, never switch the model on existing long conversations unless maybe you compact first. or you could tell it to delegate to a Fable sub agent if you just need a single task done.
English

I didn't and I barely know how it works 😊. This was the initial prompt (for Sol Extra High):
Use pnpm, Vite, TS, PixieJS, uv, FastAPI and whatever else you want/need. Use codex-app-server per agent, using GPT-5.6 Luna low, the small model. Make a 2D game (grid world, RimWorld or Sims inspired) with a few agents that are controlled directly or indirectly by the codex-app-server using agents. Have debug views that show the full reasoning and tool call and message sequence of each agent on demand. Give the agents the tools they need in this world (some low level, some higher level policy kind, maybe, you decide). Give them tools to communicate (to narrate/comment on their situation in single short sentences or to other agents nearby or directly/whisper). I want to see what they say as speech bubbles on the map and in a global chat log.
Give them needs, state, inventory, interactions with the world, etc. They need to survive, ideally together.
English

@latentmoss that's really interesting; how did you design the game rules?
English

It uses the codex app-server to provide a brain for each colonist, without me having to pay API prices. The colonists are controlled via an MCP I believe (Sol in Codex decided that, so what do I know... it seems to work). And there's several tools for the colonists to act and talk to each other. They each also have an inventory. And the world is a bit dangerous to make it interesting.
It's really simple so far.
English

Fable result for the prompt
"HTML + 2D WebGL (procedural SDF based graphics): Make a battle between two starship fleets of diverse composition and with many weapon types in play. And make the ships big enough to have procedural multi room interieurs connected by doors, sometimes corridors (corridor is also a kind of narrow room I guess), with crew working on real tasks within, like FTL or mini RimWorld."

@luciascarlet maybe slow rollout, i have sol in codex, but none of 5.6 models in chatgpt
English

@latentmoss all at the same time? stylize 0 might mostly remove the effect or preview
English

@DavidSHolz yes, this was with --preview and also --raw --stylize 0 --hd
English

@latentmoss ooo what version is this made with? is this the new preview thing?
