Three months ago I thought Kyle Schwarber would be the perfect signing for #Pirates. LH power bat who would hit 45+ HRs playing at PNC Park. Of course it was a pipe dream because the team would never pay the $120+M needed to outbid Phillies & others. In fact the Pirates were mocked for being “in the running,” because they never pay up. A fair criticism. But sometimes fortune goes your way. The Bucs “settled” for Ryan O’Hearn. Now it’s only six weeks, but: KS: 147 PA, .210/.361/.555 .915 148 OPS 11 HR, 20 RBI RO: 137 PA, .316/.401/.487 .889 146 OPS 5 HR, 24 RBI $33M vs $14.5M. So far, so good.

Specific in, good out. Vague in, average out. That's the difference between a good prompter and an elite one. LLMs predict the next token across 15+ trillion tokens of text. Eh, that’s probably tough as a person. He loved it there and it does suck to feel like you’re not wanted. It also has to be tough to swallow the fact that they are objectively better without him Is what it is—he’s had a good run He’ll be cool once he’s had a chance to look at things objectively Right now, he’s emotional.

This clearly didn’t go the way Cutch wanted. Obviously his preference was to stay in PGH w his family. I understand the disappointment. But I’m not sure what’s so difficult about saying, “I was interested in staying, the team obviously wanted to go in a different direction. Disappointed, but understand it’s a business decision.” #Pirates & Cutch had a mutually-beneficial relationship when he came back. The team didn’t owe him more.

McDonald's is a perfectly acceptable carnivore option. Twelve beef patties. No bun. No fries. No Coke. The patties are not cooked in seed oils. There are no additives in the beef. It is beef. Yes, it costs £14.50. No, you don't need to forage it from a heritage breed Herefordshire farm to earn the health benefits. The carnivore diet works at McDonald's. This is a feature, not a problem.
