A message from Parkersburg South Girls Basketball Head Coach Ed Davis..... “I would like to thank all of our administration, coaching staff, support staff, players & their families for such a rewarding & enjoyable basketball season !! Also, I want to thank our community & our students (especially the Psychos ) for the incredible support all season & especially the last 3 days !! It means the world to all of us. While it didn’t quite turn out the way we wanted, it was truly an amazing journey & wonderful season !! 3G ! I certainly would be remiss if I didn’t pass my public congratulations to Parkersburg on their championship. Congratulations to Coach Murray, their staff & players !”

PARENTS: One day, our kids will be finished playing sports and they will be adults raising their own kids. The best thing that we can do now is to teach them how to be good, happy people so they can, in turn, one day raise good, happy people.

Parents trying to play God in their kids’ sports careers rarely help them. The best athletes I have seen had parents who supported them, held them accountable, and let the game teach the lessons.
