@PsychNiles And there is truly no benefit for researchers to review papers. Academics usually meat their quotas for service quite quickly. And then time is limited. If journals offered a stipend for the reviewers time and expertise they may find more people ready to review papers.

@briemreid If you had interviews or a top school, I would reach out and let them know. Programs are limited based on finding, and if you bring your own funding, they may admit you. Good luck! And congratulations.

@K_L_Humphreys I would try to do the defense if you are outside of the US and have a year off or more. If I’m the US I may require the student to wait as you may only have 12 weeks off.

Submitted! I’m celebrating as it takes so much work and so few are funded. Even getting the grant submitted is a huge feat! Fingers crossed as it could help improve the mental health of so many parents, especially those marginalized and discriminated.

New article! We found 36% of youth in foster care didn’t receive adequate prenatal care, 17% reported at least one birth. These rates were even higher in younger youth and in black youth.
