last night i had the opportunity to talk with draftkings' game integrity team few takeaways from the conversation 1) they have a sophisticated proactive system to catch game integrity issues (which includes collusion) but it usually takes time to play out 2) strong majority of times ppl email them about collusion it's either not actually collusion or has already been internally flagged as such 3) there is no draftkings public definition of collusion so your definition may differ from theirs...intent is often difficult to decipher but they have the benefit of more data to evaluate than just the picks in the draft i think they said the right things and have the right policies in place but the challenge is we are still left with 'trust us' when we don't have access to the entire contest data and only hear about issues when someone in the draft room decides to make them public draftkings led the way in contest transparency for DFS with downloadable CSVs and i hope they are willing to follow underdog's lead by releasing all contest data (pick-by-pick data of every draft with usernames) after the contest locks

@HaydenWinks When you do these stats with small samples (5-10 games) and some players got hurt in Q1 of a game, do you consider adjusting for that? E.g. show games played for ceedee as 4.25 instead of 5?

This is WR scoring and usage since December of last year. Tried to get the last 8ish games for most WRs.

My wife was at the dealership to get a tire rotation and balance. This was known to be a little over $100 and the oil change is about $100. So naturally we expected a bill of maybe $200-$220 when it was done. Wife texts and says it’s going to be $325. She said because they said I needed an air filter. So I called and asked them to itemize it for me before she drives off. The air filter was $75! I told them not to do it. He said “it’s already in” I said, “take it out, I just found a set of air and cabin filters for $20 as we talked. If I can get it for that, a Mazda dealer is getting it for less and it’s two thumb clips to change.” He said “I can’t do that” I said “you can and you will because if you don’t I’ll never buy there again and I’ll tell everyone and anyone not to. Is that worth the price of a $20 filter” He said, “ok, sir… but to be clear, she agreed to it” I said, “of course she did, but I didn’t set up an appointment for an air filter and I never would.” My point is this— people need to push back. This has all gotten incredibly ridiculous. Folks, I bought a filter set for a Maserati for $22 dollars and that was 2 air filters & a cabin filter, and all of 10 minutes TOTAL to replace. I truly believe that all of this has to do with us no longer teaching kids (or wives) that certain things in life are absolutely easy to do. *END RANT*

If I was head of “customer success or product” dealing with the latest @NBATopShot gaffe, here’s what I would have communicated. Specific and simple is what matters. I’d avoid all platitudes. My goal would be to deliver an effortless outcome to my audience. First: I’d have explained who I believe are specifically impacted. Primarily: Collectors who made decisions to purchase the older moments / packs based on the printed rules. Secondarily: New pack / moment buyers - less so - but it’s hard to know who felt compelled to buy I’d have done this because it creates a clear connection between the gaffe and the affected audience. Second: I’d have addressed the specific reparations given the users that were affected - and I’d make it clear TS is taking as much of the burden as it can. Therefore I would : 1) Stop the sale of the current chance hit packs: there are about 6,300 of them left. Burn the moments. If you need a “5 hour countdown,” so be it. This eliminates “some” of the penalty to moment holders of previous generations. 2) If the buyback account owns any of the “previous moments impacted by the current situation,” burn them. 3) The next RIB drop - holders of the previous moments impacted by the most recent drop should receive a couple “guaranteed hit packs.” Third, I’d have explained my product strategy for this never to happen again. 1) I agree with their point: minting guidelines should be rules in the product. Stored in blockchain is best. #NBATopShot

Thanks for the questions. On one hand, we definitely see the value in "fair" distribution, but what's fairest distribution depends on who you ask. For example, if every collector gets one before any collector gets a second, there are clear knock on effects. A great weekly drops experience is a priority, and we agree there's plenty to improve. On the other hand, we definitely see the value in learning more about true demand. This is an evolving system and we look at these as opportunities to learn.

I hate these drops that allow a user to reserve so many packs. We r forced to put in a Max reservation to get anything. Got nothing last few drops while others got 15-20 packs by Max reserving. This needs to be fixed @NBATopShot! Guarantee first pack orders. It’s not that hard 🤦‍♂️
