Just happened in Warsaw: Strange lady: Excuse me, are you Chinese? Me: No. SL: Oh. I'm learning Chinese! Me: I'm American. SL: Oh. Have a nice day? Not just getting hit on randomly but getting picked up as a language partner while waiting for the bus. Great.

@laxtoyvr @USPS Might be useful if they sent me mail scans from an address I've actually lived at in the last 8 years? Despite multiple reported address changes, I'm getting scans from my 2007 - 2010 address.

@PR4Science It's a prevalent problem unfortunately. Designers need to be more conscious about users who are outside of their demographic.

@laxtoyvr I couldnt agree more - it bugs me to see font colours used in a way that doesnt consider the user experience

Biggest email design pet peeve: when the body text is in light gray. Yes it looks pretty but it's too difficult to read! BAD UX esp for older folks and the visually challenged. #emailgeeks #webdesign

@laxtoyvr I have seen this in print, web, and email and it's just terrible no matter how you slice it. If it's meant to be read, make sure it has a decent contrast ratio, the end :(

@geekrockchick24 During a job interview the interviewer asked me if I had really coded a project that was in my portfolio. I was stunned. He would never have asked a male candidate the same thing. He would have given him the benefit of the doubt.

Talked to friend about how #womenintech frequently have to prove we know how #technology works compared to male colleagues. Joked women only know about "titnology." "I'm sorry, did you say titnology? Count me an expert."
