
Yes, that post was made when videos were circulating of Palestinian civilians in Gaza celebrating Hamas after 1,200 people were massacred on October 7 — before the IDF had even entered Gaza.
People were cheering in the streets after civilians, babies, families, and concertgoers were slaughtered, kidnapped, and dragged across the border.
So my reaction at the time was simple: if a society openly celebrates the mass murder of innocent people, don’t act shocked when people respond with rage and say Hamas needs to be completely destroyed, along with the infrastructure protecting and enabling it.
That does not mean “kill random innocent civilians.” It means Hamas started a war with one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in modern history, and wars have consequences.
