@ADMusgrove Crystal Palace had no interest in being there today, any sign of intensity or quality would have put them to bed but we left them in it with our insipid football and gifted them the win in the end.

The most concerning thing about this result is that it doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone. We spoke about the concern over mentality on the Match Preview but the fact you could remove any reference to the opposition & apply the point to most games this season, is the issue.

The most important thing is Newcastle have signed a striker after three months of searching for one. Whatever happens to Isak, the pressure is off #nufc to an extent. They can decide what they want to do knowing they don’t need Isak to play anymore. Let’s wait and see

Newcastle ran out of steam today. Three games in six days and they’ve lacked intensity and energy all over the pitch. This is their big flaw and has been for more than two years, they don’t rotate because the squad isn’t strong enough to do so. Villa far better and fully deserve to win #nufc
