It's satisfying when you have both motors of a BREL and Metro-Cammell Networkers together. 465041 + 465908 (Chris Green OBE) 🔴🔵⚪️ departs Barenhurst on 2U34 to London Victoria from Gravesend. With the full withdrawal of the Class 455s from SWR the Class 465 & Class 466 Networkers with Southeastern are now the oldest National Rail trains left running in London that are in passenger service!

On its first loaded test run.@LocoServicesGrp 89001 'Avocet' heads south passed Springs Branch, Wigan on 18th March 2026 with 5Z32 1324 Tebay-Crewe. 86101 'Sir William Stanier FRS' trails at the rear. The 89 had topped the 86 as 5Z31 from Crewe-Tebay

@Guard_Amos @bt_uk @northernassist 158/9 were new to West Yorkshire PTE & IIRC were used on the SCA to LIV all stops service. They were delivered in the Red/Cream Metrotrain livery and only had the large accessible toilet from new. Apart from that, they were identical to the main build 158's.

Back when they were first introduced. #BREL built Class 158's used to have a @bt_uk phone card operated phones. Some of the @northernassist members of the class still have the old BT moquette where the phone used to be. This is one 158907

@KWVR1 Try 2xVolvo B10B'S (Arrive & Harrogate) & 1xScania K113DRB (Yorkshire Rider). The Yorkshire Rider B10B's were numbered in the 10xx series. The Scania's were the 86xx series.

@Joe_Dodman @O_TTravels Modified class 43's, the one's that have buffers, also the TGS had buffers fitted & a drop head buckeye, to which a 91 or the 89 were coupled. Initially the 43's supplied ETS for the coaches, but eventually they provided traction. Performance was "Sprightly". On paper 8340hp!!!

Since when did LNER run this service 👀??? Leeds to London King's Cross in just under 2 hours!! Really really wish Intercity services like this were consistent and ran hourly!

@O_TTravels It's easier to maintain the times with an Azuma over an IC225 set, due to better power delivery/acceleration. Remember the Class 91 locos were sort of derived from APT-E power cars, so are basically 70's tech against 10's tech.

Today was all about the winter afternoon teas … I was asked to make sausage and Bramley apple sausage rolls .. By god they were bloody good .. I know it means crumbs in the bed sheets … But who fancies a cuppa and a hot sausage roll …? I’ll stick the kettle .. And oven on whilst you ponder … ♥️

Nothing screams Autumn than fruit crumble and custard .. Here we have apple, pear , plum and blackberry crumble .. with a crunchy topping of crumble , pumpkin seeds and coconut… And proper custard made with double cream … I could just eat this for breakfast 😋

Good afternoon my Twits.. Peaches are in delicious abundance at the moment .. so the special dessert on the menu this miserable Sunday is chargrilled peaches on a puddle of Greek Yoghurt .. a sprinkle of pistachio nuts and warm toffee sauce… YAY or NAY peoples..?
