So how is Fernandez the best player when we have players who had better outputs than him ? Halaand had a better output and he was actually challenging for trophy and Raya has equalled the clean record already and he won ghe premier league. So whats so special about Bruno Bruno - 33 appearances | 17 wins | 9 draws | 7 losses | 8 goals | 19 assists Halaand - 34 appearances | 21 wins | 8 draws | 5 losses | 26 goals | 8 assists Raya - 36 appearances | 24 wins | 7 draws | 5 losses | 18 clean sheets

EPL is genuinely stupid, can't even be bothered at this point. A league where you have three clubs in a European finals with one of them winning the league, yet the best player of they year award has gone to a guy that plays for the 3rd best team in the country that finished 20pts behind the title winners. You'll never see this level of foolishness in any other leagues in Europe

@TechFooty @Emzyl_ It’s literally Premier League player of the year. Premier League, the best player in the 38 game season, not the cups, not Europe. How is this difficult to grasp?

Very foolish all because they hate Arsenal. Halaand even deserved more because he won two trophies and had better stats. Raya deserved because he won the league and isane saves and clean sheet record. Rice had the best season but these those stats pads are those who win because nolonger watch football again, its all about stats

@YaoQuasi99 @FPLMate It’s premier league player of the year! 38 games! Arsenal have scored something like 16 goals from corners, should they still count?

@FPLMate Horrendous take and clearly not an Arsenal fan. They’ve played one match a week for most of the season, often less. Standards drop when you’re playing 3 games a week for 45 weeks. Rice, Gabriel, Raya have maintained that level. 12 assists from corners does not deserve POTY

I could do with the title being wrapped up tonight. I don't care who wins it and I don’t want our players being kicked around by that lot on Sunday as they chase top spot. We just need the lads to be fresh and ready for Leipzig.

@RacingPost Why is it that trainers look for any excuse not to run a good horse, but when it comes to a 0-90 handicapper they’ll run them 3x in a week?

Owen Burrows on Raaheeb: 🗣️ "He's been back cantering for a week. He had to walk for ten days, and then trot, and you have to be 110 per cent going to a Derby, so it made our decision quite easy. It's a long season and we want him about for when he's four and five, if he can prove himself. He's an important horse for everybody."

❌ Owen Burrows said the decision to bypass next month's Betfred Derby with Raaheeb was a simple one, but he hopes a Classic bid remains in the equation with the Irish Derby under consideration Read more 👇 racingpost.com/news/britain/i…

@lbritten9 @Sjopinion10 @chris_sutton73 They came within 90 minutes of winning it today. So that’s not enough to generate interest? Any of you lot watch how good hearts or Motherwell were this season? Just tell the truth pal. You know fuck all and so does Simon.

I doubt you’d say it to Martin O’Neill’s face… what an embarrassing take anyway. Scottish people care about Scottish football and you can carry on not caring from London.
Simon Jordan@Sjopinion10

What a shame for Scottish football #hearts … nothing exciting or new about #celtic winning the league .. Everyone can go back to not caring about Scottish football again 💤💤💤💤

@Sjopinion10 @chris_sutton73 Simon let’s be honest if hearts won the league you along with the rest of the world invested in the outcome would not give 1 fuck about the league next year. Bore off and stick to the boring premiership

@Bhoy_1988 @Sjopinion10 @chris_sutton73 No winner outside of the Old Firm since 1985. Ofcourse it would be a shot in the arm, if Hearts can do it then investment in other clubs would likely increase too as it previously looked impossible to break any dominance, even for one year

@MatthewStadlen Hold on though, wasn’t Starmer calling for a general election once Johnson got ousted?

It’s not difficult to see how this plays out if the Prime Minister is forced to resign. First, Labour infighting played out in public. Then the new PM greeted with frenzied calls for a General Election by Reform MPs and their cheerleaders, egged on by those in the media who have been helping to stir the movement against Starmer. Madness.

Alexis Sanchez was tearing this league apart but couldn’t even sniff a nomination for the PFA player of the year award because when you play for the Arsenal you have to work twice as hard to get half the recognition.

These have been a very difficult set of elections. I’ve felt that in Sunderland. But the answer is not to turn inwards. It’s to take responsibility, come together & face up to the challenges ahead. Keir has won before, he can win again. We need to deliver change, not chaos.

@darrenpjones @Keir_Starmer What is this responsibility @Keir_Starmer has taken? It’s all well and good saying it but no one can actually say what he’s taken responsibility for? He’s sacked everyone he can scapegoat

The election results today have clearly been tough for Labour. I’m sorry that we’ve lost so many brilliant Labour colleagues across the country, and thank them for their service. And I’m sorry that so many voters felt unable to vote Labour at these elections. @Keir_Starmer has taken responsibility and committed all of us to delivering on the mandate the country gave us at the last election. The Labour Party shouldn’t waste a minute of the time we’ve been given to get on with that job. If we turn inwards the public will think we’re walking away from that challenge. The next election will have unity or division on the ballot. A Britain built for all, or a Britain for the few. Britain is at its best when we come together and rise to the challenges of our time. And Labour is at its best when our values of equality, collectivism and unity power our project for the British people. We can deliver a better Britain in the years ahead and beat the prospect of division at the next election, but only if we come together, get on with the job and face the future.
