Raskin on Trump Address: He lost the election by more than 7 million votes and 306–232 in the Electoral College. The story is that he continues to lie about it, and they’ve organized an entire political party, albeit a dwindling and shrinking one, around a lie. And then, out of that lie, flow all these other lies, like the lie about January 6th, which he says was a beautiful day of hugs and kisses. It’s just absurd that he’s still obsessed with that lie. So I suppose it is news that the president continues to manufacture fantasy propositions, conspiracy theories, and lies, but that’s what it should be covered as. It should not be covered as news because he has failed to develop one body of evidence that contradicts one sentence in the January 6th Report, for example. They have failed to contradict any of the findings of any of those federal court decisions. So I suppose it’s news that he continues to be running off in this absolutely pathological direction.

@jamestalarico @Clark_LarryC But some do not understand, zero people move through Big Bend and they are LITERALLY BUILDING ROADS to the river where none exist. Ask the REPUBLICAN SHERIFF! This is a National Park. Imagine doing this to Yellowstone. Conservation. Conservative protection.

A border wall through Big Bend would be a monument to corruption. Local law enforcement opposes it — because it won’t make anyone safe. It’ll only make out-of-state contractors rich. We don’t need a corrupt wall. We need common sense border security.

Truly a travesty. This is no different than if they ran a fence right up the middle of Yellowstone.

This guy is trying to figure out what this tiny little spot at the top of his stairs was actually for. It’s clearly intentional, but way too small to be practical for much. My guess is it was probably meant for one of those old phone tables back in the day — so you didn’t have to run all the way downstairs to answer the landline. The Big Bend construction plan is genuinely insane. DHS will spend $4.3 billion tax dollars to build NEW access roads into inaccessible canyons that currently see almost no border crossings. Politically connected contractors will get rich while making smuggling easier.
