Cancer update: In the last fortnight I’ve had further tests, culminating in a camera examination this morning. My tumour has shrunk after treatment and they plan keyhole surgery on 15 March to remove the tumour. I’ll need a temporary stoma (ileostomy) while my bowel heals!

We provided lighting once officers were with the missing person, then we were re-tasked to assist @swpolice in #Llantrisant with a HR missing person. <3 minutes of being on scene we located the missing person. Person taken to hospital for treatment. ^JS

My one and only annual bake is my @Bettys recipe star, streusel and frangipane-topped mini mince pies. These are for two lovely elderly ladies in my village who like to look out for me 😍

@widow_waiting I find ‘good’ (it’s all relative) days are often the hardest. All I want in the world is to tell him about my day. It’s when I miss him the most 💔

Day 372 of #widowhood 1st full day in my new job. A good day. As I sat in traffic on the drive home, I desperately wanted to tell my husband all about it. Rang his voicemail just to hear his voice. Cried. How I miss him. He’d be so bloody proud. #WidowedYoung #Grief 💔

@geraintjohn_ Know the feeling. I spend a lot of time sitting on our churchyard bench (Colin’s bench is going in our garden). Sometimes I’ve been joined by kind villagers and I always get #Afterlife vibes. Never really got it before (ironically Col loved it) but genius writing by @rickygervais

Sat on Debs bench, which has just been installed in Ruskin park. Two nice ladies asked they could sit with me as I was giving out Afterlife vibes ⭐️

Two weeks ago I lost my little sister Amy @amy_nort Amy was 38 years old, well travelled, full of fun and adventure with friends around the world. Sadly, like so many others, she also struggled with her mental health. I’m currently spending time with my family as we try to come to terms with what has happened, and planning the best way to celebrate Amy’s life next month. We’d like to thank everyone for all the heartwarming and comforting messages of love and support we have received, and continue to receive, since our loss. Reunited with Dad ❤️xx

THEY DID IT 🎉👏🍾🥳 We’re SUPER PROUD of our incredible @Base2Base2023 cyclists Phil, Anna and Mike from @NPASNorthWest Barton base. Cycling over 800 miles to every NPAS base, raising £5k+ for a colleague’s cancer treatment. Just incredible endurance, team work and compassion.

Day 7 of Base2Base. 88.19 miles. NPAS Bournemouth to NPAS Exeter. By far the hardest day yet with intense heat and the steepest climbs yet, one after another after another. Gruelling but we still have the cause at the forefront of our minds and the target in sight.

Day 7 - Setting off from NPAS Bournemouth this morning. Another kilo of sudocrem applied ans they're off for a 86 mile ride to NPAS Exeter.

Day 6 - 105 miles planned today with some long and steep climbs and 32 degree weather forecasted. 5am wake up, a lot of voterol, painkillers and sudocrem and we were met by an unreal sunrise at NPAS RedHill! Riders left at 7am to take on today's challenge!

Day 5 is underway, another early start due to the hot weather, only 72 miles today so should be a breeze for the riders 👀😅 A lot of sore bums and backs however the motivation and determination is stronger than ever as they continue around the country. 400 miles down 400 to go.

Day 3 done - Hawarden to Birmingham in the hot sunshine ☀️ 94.5miles

@sharonsinbad Thank you. It’s our wedding anniversary coming up and so last year, and this, I’ve tried to replicate my wedding bouquet, with foliage from our garden, for his grave. Nowhere near as lovely as my wedding bouquet but the sentiment is there and Col would understand what it means ❤️
