When asked for three words for 2022 - from a selection of staff... they were remarkably consistent: calm / creative / slow / kind / hope-filled / positive / optimism / integrity / respect / slow. Are schools now counter-cultural?

As I often try to point out-students go to school. School staff go to work in highly complex, interactive learning contexts. Thanks to @BrionyScott for reminding us all of that.

@tkod2001 @VonPalandt As stated, I’m not arguing against the thesis. I leave this to the medical professionals. I am asking for this respect to be extended to the education profession. We are specialists in raising and educating children. We are not children ourselves. There’s a difference.

We haven't let a pandemic get in the way of storytime here at @LindfieldLearn We asked the kiddos to grab a favourite cuddly toy, a blanket and jump onto a live zoom with their K-2 teachers. We read some lovely books to help us celebrate #CBCABookWeek. #bookweek2021
