At a time when global trade is facing uncertainty, it makes more sense than ever to strengthen trade here at home. The bill would - require the president to determine if Canadian wildfires harmed US air quality - sanction those responsible, including by blocking assets and imposing restrictions - revoke visas for individuals sanctioned under the bill - express a sense of Congress that the Canadian ambassador is “persona non grata” until the smoke no longer affects the US
