We ARE Turtle Trash Collectors! We are on a mission to pick up trash we see, purchase reusable items to reduce plastic waste, and spread the word that litter will one day end up in our oceans if we don’t take action. You can be a Turtle Trash Collector too!

Erick gathered trash in his neighborhood for the Marine Debris Art Contest. Erick did not realize this little fellow was inside the aluminum can. Nothing like opening a bag and having a lizard staring at me! Of course I screamed and the lizard jumped at me! @MECME_School

@jameelynch @MECME_School On a normal day- wouldn’t phase me, but it looked a little jazzed up from licking the inside of the monster energy drink it came out of!

@jameelynch @MECME_School Smart thinking! I was so shocked to see it- I ran with it in the bag! The whole day I kept watching the bag to make sure it was the only one in there. The last thing I need is another class pet!

@learningw_mrsg @MECME_School Once I had to capture one that got inside my house! Used a Tupperware bowl to trap it and then had to slide cardboard under it to carry it outside. 🦎
