Sorry for the confusion. 😭😭 By hand meaning, I do all the math myself using historical chart data, and keep the data in spreadsheets on a computer. But every single calculation I do myself. I don’t use a software or system to do it.

I’ve had many questions about backtesting after the @Wordsofrizdom interview dropped also. I’ve truly been scared to say this, but here it goes. Jim Simons is my absolute idol, I study his work, his steps, and everything possibly known about the Medallion Fund. They did all their backtesting by hand. Therefore, all mine is done by hand. It has been my secret weapon. By doing it by hand, you create perfection as you see when it fails when it shouldn’t, you see the problems, and you fix them as you go. A computer will never give you that.
