@BacLeodiv Killing your own ideas. Most founders fail because they fall in love with v1 and can’t let go when reality says it’s wrong

literally anyone can code anything. the only gap is you don't know what tools and infrastructure to use. once you know that its over. solo dev here building out a fully functional brokerage. doesn't even make sense.

@alidougru Reading isn’t underrated. It’s just slow in a world where everything else got faster. Same reason walking feels underrated now

The idea for LecturePDF came from a very specific moment. I was watching a 3-hour MIT lecture on YouTube. Great content. Took zero notes. Told myself I'd come back to it. Spoiler: I didn't come back to it. So I built a tool that forces good output from passive watching. The PDF is your proof that you actually went through the material.

@TTrimoreau For some it’s identity. They became coders because they liked solving problems with their head. AI taking that part away feels less like a tool and more like losing the thing they signed up for

@CodeWithAmann yes, but not for the reason people think. Not to write code by hand. To read it. AI generates 100 lines in seconds, and someone still has to know if those 100 lines are doing what they should

@ItsAlexhere0 The order matters more than the choice. Code first gives you taste, so you can tell when prompts and agents produce garbage. Skip it and you’ll ship confident slop

What do you think matters more today? - learning to code - learning to prompt - learning to command agents

@TTrimoreau Saying no. With 0 customers every feature request feels exciting. With 100, half of them pull the product in directions that kill the thing that made the first 100 buy

@billainsahu Learning. You can ship faster, but you still have to actually understand what you shipped, or the second version will be worse than the first.

Here's what AI actually changed for solo founders: ◾idea validation: 1 day (used to be weeks) ◾ MVP build: 1 weekend (used to be months) ◾ customer support: automated from day 1 ◾ copy+ content: 10x faster WHAT IT DIDN'T CHANGE ?

The biggest lie we tell ourselves while studying: "Watching = understanding." Re-reading your textbook feels like learning. Rewatching a lecture feels like learning. But recognition is not recall. The only way to know if you actually know something: close the book and try to write it down from memory. This one habit changed everything for me.
