literally anyone can code anything. the only gap is you don't know what tools and infrastructure to use. once you know that its over. solo dev here building out a fully functional brokerage. doesn't even make sense.

Why is reading so underrated?

The idea for LecturePDF came from a very specific moment. I was watching a 3-hour MIT lecture on YouTube. Great content. Took zero notes. Told myself I'd come back to it. Spoiler: I didn't come back to it. So I built a tool that forces good output from passive watching. The PDF is your proof that you actually went through the material.

@TTrimoreau For some it’s identity. They became coders because they liked solving problems with their head. AI taking that part away feels less like a tool and more like losing the thing they signed up for

Why do some coders still refuse to use AI?

@CodeWithAmann yes, but not for the reason people think. Not to write code by hand. To read it. AI generates 100 lines in seconds, and someone still has to know if those 100 lines are doing what they should

@billainsahu Learning. You can ship faster, but you still have to actually understand what you shipped, or the second version will be worse than the first.
