@leedeetee The ticket inspector on the train greeted everyone with a polite good morning and inspected all tickets. In the UK they regularly just shout "all tickets and passes" at everyone down the carriage. We are paying customers, not cattle. Germany and France appreciate that.

French public transport. Coloured seats from the Paris Metro RER E (The French Elizabeth Line) Others are the double decker train to Compiegne, stopping at Chantilly on the way. Spacious, clean, efficient and on time. Except Metro, no ticket barriers or gestapo inspections.

Well these three days have been without doubt the most enjoyable three days' racegoing experience at @CheltenhamRaces I've had since before Covid. Full marks to Guy Lavender and his team for the tweaks made that have made our Mecca a joy to be at again. A brilliant weekend here.

Made it to @BangorRaces for this brand new fixture. Very humid but thankfully cloud cover at the moment. Excellent fields for all the races, really nice to be back in this lovely setting for the first time in two and a half years. Great to have NH back on this Saturday again.
