@Pete_Martuneac She's just having a big cry. Bet she's no more hurt than she was before this run, other than her pride.

@JamieWall2 @BluesRugbyTeam The worst thing rugby ever did in NZ was move away from provincial parochialism and pride towards a franchise model. It was the lifeblood of our game and the main reason why NZ has punched above our weight in rugby. A lot of people get more excited by Sydney NRL rivalries now.

"That's probably where, as an industry, rugby's not done enough to endear itself to fans. We've had a wonderful product. But I think in 2026, product is not enough.” - new @BluesRugbyTeam CEO Karl Budge

If Democrats pursue this messaging, they will recapture the populist vote, and take back power nationwide. They guy who smartly started this was @RoKhanna

Ossoff: We were told that MAGA was for working-class Americans. But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich. It’s the wealthiest Cabinet ever. This is the Epstein class. They are the elites they pretend to hate. If you’re Steve Bannon, how do you sell any of this? He’s literally closing rural hospitals to cut taxes for George Soros.
English

@The_Davos_Man You know it's not about deportations anymore. Denaturalization was always going to be a goal of these cretins, and in the same way eventually the desire to "deport" will become a desire to "get rid of them in any way we can"
a "final solution" if you will

A year ago, the right had real cultural dominance for the first time in decades. I wrote about how they squandered it

@AthletesInSpace I'm from New Zealand - a liberal country - and I was disgusted with how dirty San Francisco had become between 2017 and 2023. I went to the mall on the main street and there were guys doing drugs in the public bathrooms with cops just standing outside unable or unwilling to act.

I don’t think it’s discussed how destructive these idiotic negative narratives and stereotypes of big cities have destroyed the life outlook for so many right-wing young men
Most of the good entry-level jobs, a significant chunk of college educated women, etc are in blue cities
Wu Tang is for the Children@WUTangKids
This is what happens when MAGA morons turn off Fox "News" and actually go visit one of the cities that they call "shitholes"

@LettersForPale1 @Media58Bias Show us you know nothing about New Zealand
English

@Media58Bias How many times did Winston win an electorate seat?
English

Labour’s new list MP, lost every election she entered, ranked 84th, never won a seat. From union activist to Parliament without voters ever saying yes.
Who is Labour’s (soon to be) new list MP Georgie Dansey?stuff.co.nz/politics/36092…

The current NZ bowling resources are probably the worst we've had since the mid 1990s. ##T20WorldCup

@aniobrien @damienmgrant He literally cheated on his wife with a parliamentary staffer.
English

I’ll concede that Hipkins is likeable from a distance, @damienmgrant . But in Parliament they know he is the Baby-Faced Assassin. Many in Labour loathe him but consider him their best chance. Ask Peeni Henare what he really thinks of him. Maybe ask Hipkins’ ex-wife, his fiancée’s ex-husband, her children while you’re at it. And all the people he screwed over during COVID. The women he told the media “off the record” were whores running around Northland, the pregnant journalist stuck in Afghanistan. He is ruthless, willing to lie, use his kids as props, but he does it with a cheeky grin & dad sunglasses.

@warwick512 Imagine thinking it was the right wing's fault when left-wing parties have perpetuated the same economic system for the last 40 years.
English

Trump destroying the worlds greatest economy.
Luxon, Peters, Jones et al destroying the worlds most beautiful country.
Fuck the Right Wing. I mean it. Totally fuck them.

Don’t swim on Wellington’s south coast. But hey most NZ lowland rivers are unswimmable due to dairy industry effluent. Across the whole country.
English

@leekhanson @libProject @Suitandtie9999 You're joking, right? What "policies" did NZF get from Labour in 2017? No restrictions on immigration at all. They even ended up backing the oil & gas ban. Winston Peters proudly proclaims NZF is a "handbrake" on other parties' policies. That's all.
English

Standing on the stage with Labour Party deputy leader Carmel Sepuloni, other labour MP’s, John Tamihere and Rawiri Waititi, Willie Jackson announces Labour will now work with the Māori party to get rid the govt - directly contradicting his leader, Chris Hipkins.
“We will work with the Greens, the Māori party whoever in terms of getting rid of this govt… it’s time to put a strategy in place”.
So to be clear, just 3 days ago Hipkins was adamant Te Pāti Maori was being left to sort their own issues out… now they are working together and developing a strategy.

So NO Comment by either our PM or Minister of Foreign Affairs on the most dispicable Racis attackn on Barrak and Michele Obama. God we are a piss weak Nation under this Coalition Lot. #NZPOLs
English

@TheZeitgeistNZ We are not independent. Thats just a smoke mirror.
English

David Farrar wants New Zealand to join Australia, but I say we should remain independent. There is no evidence the two nations want to merge, and so each should remain free to govern themselves as is there right under international law. Whatever problems or threats are surfacing as a result of challenges to the rules-based order are better addressed through alliances and cooperation between like-minded countries on issues of mutual interest.

@bighairynetwork He says they're a long way ahead of where they were in 2023, but they're not. Hipkins had just become leader and they were ahead in most polls, with a Labour/Greens or Labour/Greens/Maori coalition with a majority. Current polls show the current Govt with a clear majority.
English

@MrMidnight1850 @libProject @Suitandtie9999 It's not about baubles, it's about which party gives NZ First more of their policies.
English

@libProject @Suitandtie9999 Winston will go with Hipkins if the baubles on offer are satisfactory to him. It's impossible to understand why so many take him at his word about not working with Hipkins.
English

@The57NilClub @Suitandtie9999 What story lol. They were all at a party at Shane Jones' house, Winston wasn't spending the weekend with National.
English

@Suitandtie9999 Will Winston work with National? The story is there was a falling out between Luxon and Winston at Waitangi
