Even the Institute of Employment Rights points out it fails to remove restrictive trade union laws dating back to the 1980s. Be real mate.

@LouSirr101 @PolitlcsUK @daisyeastlake You’re moving the goalposts. First it’s “not pro-union policy,” now it’s “not enough.” Repealing anti-strike laws + boosting union rights is strengthening workers rights. If your standard is perfection, you’ll oppose anything.

@leftlens_ @PolitlcsUK @daisyeastlake No it doesn't , because the anti trade union legislation still exists. Unions can't ballot or strike properly. It will be repealed, the only way to strengthen workers is to give the unions more power, which this simply doesn't. The unions aren't happy for a reason.

This is appalling. Trade Unions sit at the heart of the Labour movement and vice-versa, and have done for decades. This guy does something every day that makes me like him less and less.

@LouSirr101 @PolitlcsUK @daisyeastlake Errr… no they don’t. Have you not seen the legislation in the workers rights bill? Have you not seen the pay rises resident doctors have received? Sure, more can and should be done, but so far, as a union rep, I’m impressed with their policies for working people.
