Those people who can speak like 4 or 5 different languages genuinely amaze me, a lot of people don’t realize the amount of intelligence that requires, plus learning a language is such a beautiful thing, you literally acquire the ability to communicate with more people, wow.

I think the capabilities of cable cars as a supplementary service to a wider public transportation system are not talked about enough… Obviously a lot of it would be dependent on geography but in mountainous cities, they can help connect isolated neighborhoods to other hubs

@cloudgulper @thfcroki Studies consistently show that lack of access to hubs and centers is one of the biggest reasons for poverty in general, and this is still a problem in urban areas, and if this is for geographical reasons, like mountains or even volatile bodies of water, cable cars should be used

@thfcroki @leftythfc Considering lots of those in hard to get to places tend to be far poorer- and that they are typically travelling to tiring manual labour jobs regardless, I feel cable cars can provide a real benefit

@cloudgulper Yes certainly so, they’re no replacement of busses, for example, but they’re used to great effect in places like La Paz 🇧🇴 or Medellin 🇨🇴, extremely mountainous and indeed, difficult to traverse cities
