I sifted through Adalah's discriminatory laws database to put together what I think is a good tweet thread for anyone who denies that Israel discriminates against non-Jews. Emphasis mostly on de jure discriminatory laws that apply within the '49 borders, not West Bank.

@c0g1018 @iantDC @RashidaTlaib Let's start with the Absentee Property laws, which confiscated all the property of Palestinian Arabs who fled from their homes during any part of the 1947–49 violence, but don't apply to Jews.

Israel has claimed responsibility for bombing A WEDDING in Gaza City yesterday that killed 7 people from two families, including a 4-month-old BABY. Israel offered no explanation, but acknowledged "uninvolved civilians" were killed. Where's the Bondi beach level media coverage? Where's the outrage

It took Israel only 10 minutes to carry out one of the worst mass-killings in Lebanon since the end of the country’s civil war in 1990. Lebanese are still searching for loved ones under rubble and in hospital morgues. Hospitals are overwhelmed with patients, many of them children. “I thought they bombed a school at first,” the head of a hospital in Beirut said. theguardian.com/world/2026/apr…?

New developments in Gaza in the IDF strategy there are flying under the radar. But they shouldn't be. The army is moving past the so called "yellow line" to sever the part of Gaza they have thus far not occupied by taking over the main lines of communication: 1) My friend Nizar today reported that when he approached Deir al-Balah: "I noticed something unusual at the beginning of the road… cars were turning back, there was noise, pale faces, and the sound of gunfire. Then I saw a tank on top of the hill, and I understood that the occupation was approaching Salah al-Din Street, possibly to close it or because there was an operation in the area. Gunfire was random, and drones were hovering in the sky." This has been confirmed to me by IDF sources. The army has taken over Salah al-Din Street, the most crucial artery in Gaza. 2) They are targeting aid convoys. He said, "here was also a vehicle belonging to an international health organization whose driver was killed, and it was carrying a foreign medical delegation." This has been confirmed. It was a WHO vehicle, and its driver Majdi Aslan as killed. 3) Salah al-Din Street is the primary north-south highway and the "spine" of the Gaza Strip. The takeover of this road has devastating consequences. This road is the only viable route for heavy aid trucks carrying large quantities of food and medical supplies like baby formula. By blocking it, the military has severed the connection between the aid entering from the south and the families in central and northern Gaza. It has shown it is willing to kill rather than allow essentials like baby formula to be delivered. 4) It also means that towns like Deir al-Balah are being turned into isolated pockets. When the artery is blocked, local markets cannot be restocked, which is why you are seeing prices become unbearably high and essential goods vanish. 5) Because of this development, the WHO has officially suspended all medical evacuations today because they can no longer guarantee safe passage on Salah al-Din Street. 6) While Israel claims there is no ban on formula, they have classified essential feeding supplies as "dual-use" items, causing them to be held indefinitely at crossings like Kerem Shalom. The combination of blocked roads, closed crossings (like Rafah today), and limited supply has created a man-made crisis where the cost of formula has skyrocketed. The most telling detail here is the dual-use classification of baby formula. It reveals the logic of the entire strategy: Israel is not using blunt force alone, it is using administrative and infrastructural mechanisms to achieve what a formal siege would achieve, while avoiding the legal and political exposure that a declared siege would bring. Controlling the road, classifying food as weapons, and closing crossings are individually deniable, but together they form a coherent system of starvation. The WHO suspension is the canary in the coal mine: when the international medical community concludes it can no longer operate safely, the humanitarian architecture that gives cover to the claim that "aid is allowed" has effectively collapsed. Israel is again starving Gaza to death under the cover of the Iran crisis.
Nizar_Gaza_🇵🇸@nizar_almasre

Today, after getting dressed and ready to travel to Deir al-Balah to buy baby formula, I noticed something unusual at the beginning of the road… cars were turning back, there was noise, pale faces, and the sound of gunfire. Then I saw a tank on top of the hill, and I understood that the occupation was approaching Salah al-Din Street, possibly to close it or because there was an operation in the area. Gunfire was random, and drones were hovering in the sky. I saw a car speeding by carrying about three injured people. There was also a vehicle belonging to an international health organization whose driver was killed, and it was carrying a foreign medical delegation. The situation was extremely dangerous and chaotic, so I returned to my place and waited for things to calm down. After the crossings were closed, prices have become unbearably high. One of the most scarce and expensive essentials is baby formula. Many families have told me that their children are in urgent need of it. Therefore, our new initiative will focus on providing baby formula for infants in Gaza. We will wait for two days until the situation improves, then I will try to travel and purchase as much as possible to distribute to families in need. I kindly ask anyone who can help not to hesitate to help the infants of Gaza. This is no longer a luxury, it is a matter of life🙏🫂 chuffed.org/project/149470 paypal.me/NizarAlmasre

Asking Jews if they’re Zionists is like asking Catholic priests if they’re pedophiles. It’s uncomfortable to hear. It’s wrong when it stereotypes the group. It happens because the institutions have stood by the criminals. And for those who can answer “No,” it’s not a big deal.

@leibowitzadak Sorry no. Imputing the beliefs of individuals based on identity categories you ascribe to them is bigoted logic. You won’t like the world this creates, as it will certainly redound back to other groups.

@timetowander Having interacted with a lot of anti-Zionist Jews living in Israel, many who risk their lives fighting the Zionist government, most born there and others formerly Zionist or brought there as children, this is not true.

Imagine a terrorist group put out a list of universities, bombed MIT first day, Harvard second and so on and so forth down the list. What would you think? The depths of barbarism? That’s what Israel and the US are doing in Iran

A lot more Jews support Israel’s atrocities than Catholic priests support pedophilia or Germans support Nazis. It’s acceptable to make jokes calling priests pedophiles and Germans Nazis, to say the Catholics need to address pedophilia, to compare German policies to Nazism.

Truly fuck this @CBSSunday segment on archaeology in the WB, which leads with the settler narrative, uncritically platforming some of the most nefarious, genocidal Israeli pseudo archaeologists before giving a few minutes to a Palestinian, who @sethdoane immediately challenges.

I had other things I wanted to do today but someone had to do it: A paragraph-by-paragraph takedown of why basically everything in this op-ed is wrong. Kind of shocking how bad it is (starting with using "messy" to refer to hundreds of thousands of deaths)

The iron dome is the equivalent of giving a school shooter body armor so that they are safer as they carry out their slaughter. It emboldens the colony by providing it the means to insulate itself from the consequences of its own violent actions. It is offensive in effect.
Guy Benson@guypbenson

Iron Dome (purely defensive) saves so many innocent lives and AOC is now apparently committed to defunding it. Wrong types of lives that system is saving, it seems.

Hey @Columbia, why did you restrict and surveil an event for children injured and evacuated from Gaza, while allowing Israeli soldiers who participated in a genocide to speak on campus? What makes injured children more dangerous than soldiers?

Israeli headline: “Israel is racing to strike Iran before US forces a ceasefire.” It speaks volumes of Israel’s mentality of war for war’s sake. For Israel, a war is just an excuse to enact as much violence as possible while they can.

Israel has now approved a law: - Palestinians who resist (their legal right) are executed by hanging - only applies to Palestinians and not settler "terrorists" who continue to murder with impunity as they illegally steal homes The state of Israel needs to be deconstructed
