@asentance BoE governor Andrew Bailey has admitted inflation could reach 6%. Why aren't they getting ahead of it now by increasing the base rate? Even 25 basis points would show the market they have a handle on it?

@jamiegreeneUK You came across as am idiot who looks down on people earning their own wealth, whilst you've got your snout in the trough of taxpayers. I know which one of the 2 I think people would prefer to praise

For the avoidance of doubt: I own one one-bedroom tenement in Greenock. One car. No yachts And have no staff. I don’t consider wealth the only measure of success. My family and I are grateful for what we have. That’s the stark difference between the two boys from Greenock.

We were elected to rebuild the country, to back working people, invest in public services, and tackle child poverty. That’s the mandate. And we’re getting on with it.👇🏽

@onemoreday1966 There is no policy advocated by reform to privatise the NHS. Yes it needs REFORM as Wes Streeting has said on multiple times

@AlbionLeonard @afneil You presumably admire liars, racists and Tories then? And what's more you're obviously proud of being scum.

I’m well aware when the EC became the EU. But: Did we get any help from the EC in 1982? Did we get any help from EC members in 1982? Or did Argentina get more? The French did indeed invoke 42.7 after the 2015 terrorist attacks. The response didn’t amount to much. But I’m glad you reproduced the clause. Shows just how flimsy it is as a collective response deterrent. It does not require a united, collective EU response. Just bilateral responses by EU members — which they’re free to offer to countries in or out of the EU. Now who’s the idiot?
Count Biffa@CountBiffa

@afneil The EU didn't even exist in 1982. Idiot. The mutual defence clause came into force in 2009. France invoked it in 2015. It's quite worrying that you don't seem to even know the basics of something like that, but you remain willing to share your poorly-informed opinions. 🙄

@JB_MiningAfrica @MarulaPlc Is this the start of deliveries or another false dawn. I sincerely hope it's the former for a change. EGM request is very close to being finalised.

@CommonSenseGB1 @BurnsideWasTosh @exRAF_Al Only two ways out of this vortex of despair - Increase taxation or cut public expenditure. Labour will never do the latter with conviction. We are now taxed to the hilt; So, I am having a problem seeing ourselves out of this crisis with merit.
