🚨 SCOTUS SHOWDOWN: TRUMP ADMIN LAWYER FIRES BACK ON BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP A heated exchange inside the Supreme Court as the Trump administration lawyer pushed back on challenges to ending birthright citizenship. When pressed by Justice Elena Kagan, Solicitor General John Sauer went straight to the source: “I take it straight from the framers’ mouths.” His argument: ➡️ “Jurisdiction” in the 14th Amendment means allegiance to the U.S. ➡️ Not owing loyalty to any foreign power ➡️ Temporary visitors were never intended to grant automatic citizenship Sauer cited the actual authors of the amendment: “Subject to the jurisdiction… means not owing allegiance to anybody else.”
