@HachikujiRapist honestly I don't see SteamOS releasing anytime soon with how busy they are with their hardware but with how good the alternatives like bazzite and cachy seems I dont think people are missing out on a whole lot

@HachikujiRapist SteamOS on the Steam Deck has elements that are really specific to the device so I wonder if they haven't released a pc version because it would need to do the same for basically any computer

@HachikujiRapist my entire steam library is free from drm apart from 2 or 3 specific cases but even then the tweaks are so minor that basically my entire library runs flawlessly. my only skeptisms are stuff like adobe type programs but im happy with how close it gets to fully functioning

@HachikujiRapist Valve pushing hard on linux development after the failure of the first Steam Machine to the success of the Steam Deck seems wildly intentional and as a result Linux gaming in general is so much more viable than its ever been
