I was coming back from a vigil last Saturday. 4am. Empty road. Just me and my headlights. Then I saw her. Old woman. Side of the road. Struggling with a bag. I slowed down. My mother is old. I would want someone to stop for her. So I stopped. I wound down my window. She looked up at me. Her eyes were completely white. Not blind white. White like something had replaced what was supposed to be there. I should have driven off. Instead I said are you okay.

“My wife she’s barren and I’m tired of the marriage,I got married in 2018 and for the past 8yrs of marriage not a even a single miscarriage even the dog I bought just 2yrs ago has given birth to more than 8 puppies while I’m still here childless because I married wrong.
