This is awesome 🥹 Rangers manager, Skip Schumaker, went out to the mound not to remove Carter Baumler, a Rule 5 pick, but to inform him that he made the Rangers Opening Day roster during a mound visit

@totallynotkaran @moriizumii No, you're just an idiot that has a horrible revisionist outlook with 0 actual knowledge of both the historical and socioeconomics involved. Do you want a reading list on both so you can learn or just remain ignorant?

@len53118 @moriizumii "...look to the west for influences"- gee I wonder how organically a country would look to the country that dropped nuclear bombs on it for influence. I'll stop replying now, it's clear you want to live in your shell.

@totallynotkaran @moriizumii I know that's a hard concept to grasp, but the Soviets didn't have the naval or even the logistics to make an amphibious landing on the home Islands. They didn't have the logistics or industrial capacity to send supplies to their land forces, how were they going to do it on water

I have you the literal operation name that crushed the Japans by Russian forces. You on the other hand are saying "nah, there's no way they could reach". My guy, the op literally happened. Please read, atleast read about your own history. Dammit, I'm not even american and I know yours better than you at this point.

@totallynotkaran @moriizumii You gave me an operation that meant jack shit to main land Japan. Everyone, including the Japenese, knew the USSR was going to make a push into Manchuria. The USSR did not, by their own admission, have the capabilities to fight Japan on Japanese soil.

@totallynotkaran @moriizumii That all they neighboring countries and our allies all said they wanted a limited military with no projection power. The UK, China, Korea (what was left of it) the USSR, the nations it had invaded and pillage. That wasnt just a US policy.

They pay you for having a military base cause your constitution banned them from having an army. They had to let you destroy thier economy by plaza accord. You dump millions every year into missionary activity- something that's literally in US Fed public records btw but sure they're not vassals. Cute.

No, they celebrate Christmas cause US made them celebrate it via missionary activities and made it a spending festival after the war via their occupation of Japan. It's a thrusted festival that has literally killed any indigious festivals. "KFC is the main course" -you quite literally explain it yourself. Same with South Korea. Why do you think it's not a big festival in North Korea, Vietnam, Thailand or China? Literally in the neighborhood of Japan and Korea but somehow the "fun holiday" could not permeate to the same extent? The literal singular link between Japan and South Korea is illegal US occupation ( yes, cause neutral law demands US should've vacated it post WW2) and the shit ton of missionary money spent. New year's is a christian holiday cause it's the Christian new year. How the heck do you not know that?

@totallynotkaran @moriizumii Japanese people also enjoy Christian style weddings. Not because they are followers of Jesus, but because they like the ceremony and look to the west for influences.

Exactly my point, I'm fine with victors taking spoils. But at the same time you cannot say there's no rules in war and then try to flaunt morality after doing something shitty. You did not build the economy or the country- US made them a vassal state - is it morally wrong- yes. It is militarily sound - yes. But you don't do something drastic and then try and claim morality in the same breath, as your points tried to. Christianity - you are just a google search away to find out how much US spends on missionary activities in Japan. The stats are incorrect as most Japanese by culture do not identify with a religion. At the same time, why do you think Japan's biggest festival is christmas and new year now?

@totallynotkaran @moriizumii I see tankies and chuds making this moronic argument. The soviets didn't have the assets or abilities to make a massive amphibious assault. They didn't have the logistics that the US had, especially in Asia. They were reluctant to fight in the east to begin with.

They were literally on the other side of Japan and had crushed Japan with operation august storm: warfarehistorynetwork.com/article/the-so… The whole bomb was completely unnecessary cause japan was already discussing surrender as they tried to reach out to Germany for help after August storm but germans were not in a position to help.
