I would imagine there's a lot of A Level students today who, once they've tried to deal with this catastrophic shambles, will then, coldly and furiously, register to vote. It will have politicised an entire generation. This will have a long tail.

@lenanix Hi Lena, due to global restrictions some of our centres in other countries are working with minimal staff meaning our UK centres are extremely busy picking up the work load, that in addition to a lot of people in need right now does mean queues are to be expected. Apologies. Jay

@BarclaysUKHelp @BarclaysLDN I totally understand that but over an hour and a half is totally unacceptable regardless with no indication of how long the wait time would be. There are plenty of people looking for work, hire more staff. Other banks do not have this issue and wait times are far quicker!

@Barclays @BarclaysUK @BarclaysLDN absolute shocking customer service...I have been given incorrect information twice about a payment and now I’ve been on hold 1hr 20mins....hire more staff!

Teachers are already heroes, nobody needs the Daily Mail peddling their divisive anti trade union rhetoric at such a sensitive time, it’s not “militant” to demand safety measures are in place for children&staff alike, it’s not “militant” to protect all children&staff in school.
