Pleased to hear that Ms Patten supports our Ending Homelessness Bill 👏🏽 She says our push for a plan and a target is clear and makes sense to do. She's also speaking to the importance of recognising housing as a human right in the Charter of Human Rights.

... But what she doesn’t acknowledge is that privatisation has failed. Let me be clear: public housing is a government responsibility and should be fully funded.

BREAKING: the Senate has just voted to support our amendment demanding that companies making huge profits (like Harvey Norman) are ineligible for payments like JobKeeper - and that they pay it back. Support is meant for workers, not cashed-up corporations & billionaires.

Despite @JoshFrydenberg spending on a #budget deficit twice the size of the most reckless of the Whitlam years, still no investment in #socialhousing, so I guess they don’t like #renters and really believe #socialhousing doesn’t save lives that it entrenches #poverty, go figure.
