Definitely. But it’s a false economy, govmt can’t simply force wages up while not addressing profiteering at the top end. Everyone in work should be capable of affording a home, food, clothing etc. Shareholders need for profit and share-price growth means there is no appetite to swallow heightened costs at the expense of profit. The consumer pays either via service degradation or increased prices and the wheel of inflation keeps on spinning. Globalisation and open market creates fragility - and means the ‘hike the taxes on companies and rich’ isn’t a sustainable fix. Govmt costs absolutely need to decrease in some capacity, state pension and welfare more broadly is crippling.

£26436.80 is the new min wage annual salary (40 hrs p/wk). And as the min wage rises, regular salaries don't. So many people will begin to ask themselves 'why am I working this highly stressful job that needed qualifications and a tonne of bullshit paperwork and police checks just to earn 5k more a year than I would stacking shelves at Lidl?'

Baffling how he can’t comprehend the issue. His platform incites the behaviour from the kids. I listened to the podcast earlier today. Summary (off top of my head): - Disagreement on away day bans - Unwilling to accept new stewarding plan without first seeing said plans - Existence of additional barriers within the section - Disagreement on filming of police / posting on social media - Disagreement on the SAG guidance, pointing out final say is with club not SAG

Any idea why the unreasonable demands by the club haven’t been published. It’s all well and good sitting listening to “Martin” but I have no clue who the guy is. I think a lot of fans would like to see the evidence @CFC_Collective @NCCeltic

Only issue is his pressing / aggression is non-existent. He offers absolutely zero defensively, I don’t know if we can carry a passenger like that anywhere in the team. Sounds wild but I think in an ideal world he is either benched or he needs to drastically improve defensive side of his game. Clearly very useful player, just no idea what to do with him. He kills us when the going gets tough, positional wise brutal in defensive work but outstanding in anticipating in attack.

@nathangreennn 10 in front of McGregor and a quality physical ball winner who’ll do the ugly work and either 1 or 2 quality strikers in front of him. I think in that situation he’s unbelievable. Seems like a big ask right now with our lack of a recruitment team.

I’m so interested to see what the next manager does with Nygren. I’m convinced with good coaching there is a position he would be unbelievable but it simply cannot be a central midfielder.

Morning Gossip: Perhaps not a popular opinion, but the recent speculation around managerial candidates seems to concentrate on coaches with very limited experience. The massive rebuild ahead will take someone with experience to restructure a squad from top to bottom. HH

@jamesgogs5 @JohnMac___ Think this is the point mate, we can’t set our standards to ‘wasn’t rotten’ - he was nowhere near good enough. Couldn’t get in the team and when he did play was more often than not very poor. I agree we’d have been better with him this season though.

@sc_bho Idah started the season and offered nothing. It was the right decision to offload. Our attacking players have been pathetic bar Nygren. Nygren kills us in midfield, his passing is appalling, he’s weak. Zero physicality and running power in this team. Maeda was benching Idah mate.

@Selickpark If we’re honest, we’ve hardly dominated any games all season. Vast majority under MON have been poor - performances didn’t merit the results. You can’t outrun that, our most dominant games probably under Nancy but we were always on the cusp of disaster with defensive set-up.

Morning after ☕️ As always I will KTF 🍀 where others have us dead in water (usual fans/pages) With AJ, Engels, Osmand, and possibly Araujo back, Dundee is huge, if we can get a big performance (like Feyenoord) it will set us up nicely for 3 home games and 2 away with them Both having to play 3 away. @huell_2 We deserve absolutely nothing. I really hope we do win the league and cup but based on performances this season, really since beginning of 2025, there is absolutely no evidence to suggest we’d win 3 games on the bounce never mind 7. We’re terrible.

For the record, 21 points for Celtic wins this league. 82 does it. All day long The issue is there is no way a Celtic team playing like that wins 7 league games in a row. Excellent celtic teams haven’t won 7games in a row at split end of the season. Ange teams didn’t Its over

@belfastbhoy1961 Jota isn’t interested and won’t come back the same player, AJ, Engles might but too many players off the operating table who are happy to bide their time there. We no longer captivate talent like Sutton, Johnston, Hartson, Larsson et al. We get amateurs in sheep’s clothing

@gigicullen0502 I agree that KS likely has been selfish. But, KS doesn’t put himself on the team sheet. Responsibility sits with managers, coaches, Dr + physios at the club. Was clear to fans with zero medical knowledge that he’d either regressed substantially or was unfit.

Celtic not mentioned once in that Kasper interview btw. It seems to me, his priorities were getting Denmark to the World Cup no matter what the consequences were for the club that pays his wages or his team mates. I think he has let a lot of people down.

I’m not an expert on VAR, and don’t want to be, but why can’t we adopt the same system as England? You never see any fans complaining. Maybe disagreeing, but as per laws of the game they are always spot on. Why can’t we spend the money to use the same system? Change is needed.
