@CsTominaga Totally agree. And I’d add that when scientists faking identities and suing each other I wonder if this is good example for our children. It’s been hard to explin ethics in science nowadays.
English

Education is failing us because we’ve turned it into a farce.
We tell kids to make their own choices, to “follow their hearts,” as if they’re capable of that before they’ve learned a damn thing.
Before they’ve been exposed to virtue, to morality, to the principles that make a society function.
It is absolutely absurd. And this, right here, is why we’re drowning in this mess of collapsing values.
We have forgotten that values aren’t some whimsical, subjective whim—they’ve existed for thousands of years for a reason. They’re rooted in hard-earned experience, in what works for human flourishing.
They’re objective in their foundation, even if they’re not scientifically measurable.
Look at education.
Does a child understand the value of the alphabet before they’ve learned it?
Of course not.
They do not see the purpose of numbers, of mathematics, of books, until they’ve been taught.
They don’t understand the why.
But we teach them anyway because they need it, because it’s foundational. That is the point. You don’t give them a choice about whether or not they want to learn it—you give them the tools, the knowledge, and the understanding first. Only then can they make choices worth a damn.
We’ve lost that.
We have handed over the reins to children, to people who don’t even know what the reins are for.
We have abandoned the responsibility of teaching virtue, morality, and discipline. And look where it’s gotten us. We need to get back to the basics—teaching what matters, even if they don’t see it yet. Because education isn’t about making kids feel good about their choices—it’s about giving them the tools to make the right ones.
English

Someone, anyone—define for me what the hell "scientific values" are.
Go ahead. How do you measure a value scientifically?
You can’t.
You can’t weigh it, you can’t run it through a lab, and you sure as hell can’t calculate its worth with a bloody formula.
So tell me—how do you defend this anti-intellectual, anti-flourishing, anti-human garbage you’re selling as some kind of enlightened system?
If your so-called values have no basis in science, no way to be measured, then what the hell are they?
I see just another way to manipulate people too polite or too distracted to call out the bullshit?
Values aren’t test tubes or beakers. You don’t put them under a microscope and get an answer. They are decisions, choices we make to build something better—or worse. And your amoral system, designed to tear down everything good, has no value.
None.
You can’t measure scientific flourishing, you can’t chart morality, and you sure as hell can’t slap a "scientific" label on the destruction of reason, progress, and humanity.
So... if you think you can justify it, go on, defend it.
Tell me how your "scientific" experiment works.
Show me how you take ethics, break them into little pieces, and prove their worth in a lab.
Because from where I stand, all you’ve got is words dressed up as science to excuse the decay you’re pushing on the world.

@GabrieleProBet I am not saying nchain is a scam, but its participation is paid, there’s no merit in being invited in this case. Rather than a participation in conference, I’d check its adoption into the CBDC market as a success factor. Cheers!

@stats_feed Although US numbers are remarkable, absolute numbers don’t help to understand its performance since there should be more modalities along the year. It’d be better to show a % of the total medals available in each edition.

@nondualrandy I used to have Twetch, great idea but you guys trusted too much on BSV. You should have gotten out of it. Many people are afraid of BSV.
English

I would do it all again.
It is with a heavy heart that we wind down Twetch.
Twetch was the most ambitious product I have ever been apart of. The fact that we executed as much as we did with so little resources should honestly be studied.
We built a fully functional twitter competitor with a ton of innovative features and concepts – some of which were picked up by Twitter itself.
From a mobile app and wallet extension to the Troll Toll and Encrypted Chat, trust me when I say we went for it.
We pioneered physical/digital tied NFTs, created a brand new system for NFT evolutions that hadn't existed anywhere prior.
Most companies don't last a single year, let alone 6.
Without Twetch, I wouldn't be the designer or entrepreneur I am today. Made so many great connections many of whom I will be friends with for a very long time.
I still hold out hope we can bring Twetch back to life in some way shape or form. It really feels like things need to harden up in the crypto industry for a product like this to succeed long term. We need clarity and unification among chains to bring the entire ecosystem together.
Elon buying Twitter and dedicating it to free speech was a major blow for Twetch adoption, which was built around the capture of the massive exodus and banning of twitter users.
What we did right:
• 100k users onboarded – most on bsv
• Designed a system of social networking using micropayments in every action so users could earn directly from their content
• Recorded every post on the blockchain, making user data hard and provable
What we did wrong:
• Got bloated: databases and apis that weren’t scaleable
• Designed our NFT technology on a closed system that only we used
• Were unable to grow to a point where micropayment fees could sustain the business
Twetch wasn’t perfect, but it was certainly beautiful, and brought together some of the most virtuous people I have ever seen on the internet.
So thank you all for being part of such an incredible project. IMO, this isn't the end but a much needed fresh start for the dream of on chain social networks.

GM Today is the day. We are officially winding down Twetch.💔 It's been a fun few years, and we can't say thank you enough to all our customers who believed in us. Your BSV & assets are on-chain. You can import your seed into Yours Wallet (@yoursxbt). Twetch.com

@kurtwuckertjr While there’s no interoperability and an non-enterprise behaviour among the blockchain protocols, I’d say the P2P cash system is currently more problematic than the fiat traditional one. This is a risk-averse industry that doesn’t appreciate the way you all try to “eat each other”
English

There are very real problems with fiat currency, central banking, CBDCs, the military-industrial-complex, etc...
None of them can be solved with an asset that cannot be used is a "P2P Cash System."
Wealthy westerners didn't need a new settlement layer or a new way to move large sums of money privately or securely. They (we?) have had lots of tools to that in white, gray and black market fashions for many generations.
What we needed was a money that had the best properties of gold, the best properties of cash and the best properties of P2P technology so that the frictions inherent to gold and cash could be removed by the power of networking technology.
Of course, this is why bitcoin was created. It is also why bitcoin was infiltrated, subverted and conquered by spooks from big finance, big tech and big government.
They remade it in their image and promised us all untold wealth as long as we just "hodl" and promise not to attempt to disrupt big finance, big tech or big gov.
Brilliant.
