Getting more profitable doesn't help. It just buys some time. Growth in 2026 isn't magic. IT budgets are growing the fastest of all times. But the number of vendors isn't. Todo o trabalho do Sport no ano deveria estar direcionado para hoje. Toda a evolução (que nem existiu) deveria convergir para a estreia da Série B. Mas, às vezes, os erros ou mesmo a ordem dos acontecimentos - no caso, a soma das duas coisas - tira o clube do eixo. E assim o Sport chega no dia da estreia no pior cenário possível. O jogo que deveria ser "acessível" contra um Cuiabá que faz uma péssima temporada e passa por uma reconstrução chega com cara de novo "Jogo do Brusque". Aquela partida que marcou 2024 por ser uma extensão desnecessária do colapso causado por Guto Ferreira em sua curta passagem no comando do time. O "jogo do Brusque" foi tão marcante que virou símbolo da um perfil de partida que sequer deveria existir. O jogo que vem justamente depois do momento em que se estabelece basicamente um consenso sobre a inviabilidade do atual treinador. E não estou falando de torcida, de imprensa ou nada do tipo. Ainda que o sentimento externo ecoe, internamente todos sabem exatamente o que está acontecendo. E por que dar o "último jogo", o "ultimato", a "última chance"? Esta é uma pergunta que sempre deixo sem resposta. Neste caso de 2026, Roger merece este "all in"? O título estadual ou sobretudo a grande atuação na final são as justificativas para o último fio de confiança? Ou pelo menos de esperança? Ou de consideração, que seja? São 10 jogos em que o time transitou entre o razoável e o horroroso - com esta versão aparecendo justamente nas partidas da Copa do Brasil. Os números que serviam de escudo estão derretendo. Eram excelentes, passaram a ser razoáveis. O time venceu basicamente a metade dos jogos de 2026 - a maioria contra times de nível muito baixo. A sequência é fraca. Uma vitória em 5 jogos. Apenas dois gols de bola parada em 3 duelos da Copa do Brasil. Mas os números são o de menos no atual cenário. E todo mundo sabe disso. Existiu uma janela para a saída de Roger esta semana. Uma ou duas. Talvez ela se escancare hoje - e o que poderia ser uma decisão ainda difícil para alguns, se torne uma escolha fácil, quase obrigatória. E se isso acontecer ficaremos todos com a sensação que o Sport jogou uma partida fora. Escolheu ter uma Série B de 37 rodadas. É verdade. Mas também precisamos admitir que é mais fácil falar isso de fora do que de dentro. No entanto, quem escolheu estar dentro tinha plena consciência da necessidade de tomar decisões difíceis e rápidas quando necessário. E das consequências em não fazê-las. Em apostar. Pagar pra ver. A última carta. Agora...e se o Sport vencer? Ou - o que considero quase irreal - repetir a final e vencer jogando bem? Não tenho respostas para essas perguntas. De verdade. O resultado deveria importar pouco para as decisões necessárias e tudo o que está acontecendo. A qualidade da atuação, esta sim, tem peso. Assim como a sensibilidade de medir a temperatura e atmosfera interna. Razão, frieza e sensibilidade serão necessárias em caso de uma hoje inesperada vitória. Já em caso de repetição do que se viu na quase totalidade do ano, aí basta senso de urgência mesmo. Retroativo até.

It's basically nanochat LLM training core stripped down to a single-GPU, one file version of ~630 lines of code, then: - the human iterates on the prompt (.md) - the AI agent iterates on the training code (.py) The goal is to engineer your agents to make the fastest research progress indefinitely and without any of your own involvement. Apesar de ser um político, Nikolas conduziu o ato como alguém abençoado, um enviado de Deus. Tudo em nome da "liberdade" que, segundo a sua narrativa, não existe mais no Brasil, apesar de a passeata e os seus atos provarem exatamente o contrário. Os participantes, ao final do evento, voltaram para casa encharcados pela chuva, alguns ainda no hospital por conta de um raio, mas com a sensação de dever cumprido. Se sentiram como protagonistas na defesa da nossa pátria. Ledo engano. Foram apenas figurantes gratuitos para os vídeos de Nikolas e de uma dúzia de políticos. Vídeos que serão utilizados nas campanhas de 2026. Nada mudou. Nikolas retorna hoje para as suas férias, com a reeleição garantida, sem que seja preciso apresentar nenhum projeto ou medida que melhore a vida do brasileiro. Bastou olhar para o alto e agradecer a Deus. Valdemar fica feliz com a garantia de que muitos deputados do PL serão reeleitos e, com isso, manterá mais de R$ 1 bilhão de Fundo Partidário e Eleitoral. Os participantes, por sua vez, acordaram hoje com os mesmos problemas que tinham antes da caminhada. Entre a transparência e o espírito de corpo o STF escolheu acobertar as condutas escandalosas de Toffoli e Moraes. O único caminho disponível é levar o Senado a uma inédita ação de controle, via processo de impeachment. Essa será a missão fundamental nos próximos meses.

Favorite excerpt from Brent Beshore's annual letter: What CEOs Are and Aren’t Most people think of a CEO as the person at the top. That’s true in the same way it’s true that the windshield is “at the front” of the car. Technically correct. Also, misses the point. The windshield isn’t the engine. It isn’t the wheels. It doesn’t move anything. But it does determine what the driver can see, what they ignore, and what they slam into at 70 miles an hour. When done well, the CEO job is an arbiter of truth. The CEO stands at the border between the outside world and the inside world, between company mythology and competitive reality. That sounds obvious, but it’s not. I’d argue the norm is delusion, where organizations create realities disconnected from truth, complete with alternate headlines, villains, and heroes, all proclaimed with a shocking level of certainty. So the CEO’s job starts with a basic question: What’s true? Not what’s comforting. Not what’s politically convenient. Not what our dashboards can measure. What’s true? And what should we do about it? But deciding what to do and then doing it, requires a blend of rare attributes. The CEO must be confident enough to pick a direction and humble enough to change it. Optimistic enough to inspire and paranoid enough to prepare. Warm enough to build trust and hard enough to make calls that disappoint people they like and care about. We need to strip away the mystique. In practice, the CEO allocates three things: Attention: If you want to understand a CEO, ignore their strategy deck and read their calendar. Where attention goes, energy flows. Where energy flows, money follows. And where money follows, the organization slowly becomes something different, usually without anyone noticing until it’s obvious. This is why the CEO’s attention is so expensive. It’s why it’s so easy to waste. There are a thousand “important” meetings that are actually just elaborate ways to avoid the one meeting that matters. There are a thousand “urgent” problems that are actually just the company asking the CEO to temporarily soothe anxiety. A CEO’s attention is the company’s flashlight. Point it at the right things and companies transform. Point it at the wrong thing long enough and the wrong thing becomes the thing. People: The CEO builds the team that builds the team. I’ve learned that a healthy company isn’t built by a heroic CEO. It’s built by a great team operating with clarity, trust, speed, and accountability. The CEO’s role is to create that environment, protect it, and, when necessary, make the painful personnel decisions that preserve it. This sounds straightforward until you live it. Then you realize you’re not moving boxes on an org chart. You’re messing with people’s dignity, livelihoods, and families. You’re also messing with the morale of everyone who stays. Every hire is a bet. Every promotion is a signal. Every tolerated behavior becomes a de facto policy. The CEO becomes, whether they like it or not, the embodiment of culture. It’s not what they say they value, but what they practically reward, punish, ignore, and allow. Money: This is the CEO’s most difficult job because it’s often the one they’re least trained for, that seems the most glamorous, and is extremely impactful over time. Most CEOs come up through some form of excellence in sales, operations, engineering, or product. Then one day they wake up and realize the biggest decisions they make are capital allocation decisions: reinvest or distribute, grow or consolidate, buy or build, add headcount or automate, bet on the future or play it conservative. Capital allocation is where strategy stops being a noun and becomes a verb. It is where vision gets an audit. And it’s also where a CEO can quietly ruin a business while looking busy. It’s remarkably easy to confuse action with progress, and reinvestment with wisdom. Oftentimes the best capital allocation decision is painfully boring: Do fewer things, do them better, and keep your powder dry. But, that’s not what gets applause. In our world, with long-term owners, permanent capital, and no forced exit timetable, this is where the CEO job gets simpler. We don’t need theater. We don’t need growth for growth’s sake. We don’t need to hit a narrative for the next fundraising cycle or quarterly call. We can play offense when the opportunity is real and defense when it isn’t. We can say “not now” without pretending it’s “never.” This brings me to what might be the most misunderstood part of the CEO role: The CEO is the Chief “No” Officer. Every yes is a no to something else. Every strategy is a pile of exclusions. Every commitment is a tradeoff. The organization will always ask for more: more initiatives, more products, more meetings, more hires, more exceptions, more complexity. Increasing complexity is the default setting of life, and companies are not exempt from natural order. A CEO has to become comfortable being the person who disappoints people in the short term so the company doesn’t disappoint everyone in the long term. This is where I’ve personally struggled, both as a leader and as an owner. I want to be helpful, agreeable, and liked. I can easily slip into short-term people pleasing at the expense of leading well. Sometimes I’ve confused my progress anxiety for insight. I’ve wandered into decisions too early because “someone should do something.” I’ve also learned slowly and painfully that a CEO can add enormous value simply by refusing to add noise. Clarity is kindness, but often feels like inaction to busy people. A lot of CEO work is invisible. It’s pressure management. It’s absorbing emotion without spreading it. It’s knowing what you think and how to say it with grace. It’s carrying the weight of uncertain outcomes while still asking the team to move forward decisively. This is why, in our portfolio, we care less about a CEO’s charisma and more about their character and judgment. We’ve found that the best CEOs have a rare combination of humility and intensity. They don’t need to be the smartest person in the room, but they do need to be the clearest. They don’t need to have all the answers, but they do need to be willing to make the hard call.

Não quero estragar os memes com opinião e palpite. Mas só pra registrar: a solução do Trump pra Venezuela, pra além de uma bizarrice do ponto de vista do direito internacional, me parece desembocar em uma merda maior ainda. Não vejo qualquer mudança relevante por lá, em as Forças Armadas, que possuem controle de fato, continuarem a comandar. Retirar Maduro não altera a situação do país, uma narcoditadura cujo exército controla ao menos 1/5 da distribuição de cocaína no Ocidente. Tudo que Trump disse até o momento sobre a operação é inócuo, além de absurdo. Não há expectativa ou indicação de eleições. Apenas um acordão que envolva petróleo e uma boa comissão para Trump e sua família (além dos chegados). Dito isso, reitero que os memes estão bons.

A invasão da Venezuela pelos EUA para a captura de Maduro é uma péssima notícia para o mundo. É inegável que o regime de Maduro é uma ditadura e que precisa cair. Entretanto, uma nação não pode, unilateralmente, decidir por uma intervenção militar em outro país. O direito internacional, os tratados e os órgãos multilaterais existem para isso. Adicionalmente, não há qualquer garantia de que a Venezuela irá se tornar uma democracia. Trump afirmou estar em contato com a vice de Maduro, já descartou a participação da oposição no momento e tem mais clareza sobre como será a atuação econômica, via petroleiras americanas, do que sobre a gestão do futuro governo. Ao naturalizar a operação na Venezuela, os EUA tornam o mundo mais perigoso, pois estimulam a ação de outras potências, como Rússia e China, a adotarem soluções militares de acordo com seus interesses, como já acontece na Ucrânia. E, no Brasil, é lamentável, mas não causa surpresa, que pré-candidatos à Presidência da República comemorem o fato. Demonstram que o cumprimento de regras e os princípios se submetem, mais uma vez, ao populismo eleitoral.

Lula e Bolsonaro, no discurso, fingiram defender investigação sobre filhos que, nas atitudes, eles blindaram. Lula orientou sua base na CPMI a rejeitar convocações de Lulinha e seus amigos; e Bolsonaro trocou chefes de PF e Receita, sabotou Lava Jato e Toga, afrouxou leis etc.

A máquina de propaganda russa nunca esteve tão ativa nos EUA, graças a influenciadores como Alex Jones. Em um dos seus últimos programas ele convidou um “respeitado líder russo” para dizer que a “aliança EUA-Russia é imparável”, mas há um detalhe importante: o “respeitado líder russo” é Viktor Bout, traficante de armas acusado de terrorismo nos EUA e de conspiração para matar cidadãos americanos. Alex Jones tem um alcance gigantesco na comunidade MAGA e consegue levar a propaganda russa diretamente para milhões de americanos.
