@indygreg Not exactly. Revocation does not necessarily prevent verification, keys may still get verified and the revocation is just a decoration. The same for expiration. The only way to prevent a verification (before this new persistent records feature) would be to remove the key pair.

GitHub finally has a solution for the “PGP key rotated/expired causing commit signatures to stop verifying” problem. GitHub now has a “PGP key revoked and commits still verify” problem. Feels like a net win.
