Most of the puritans who attacked Ravencoin as an alt coin now spend their days shilling for Blackrock, Cantor and centralization. You made dislike the project, you may think it’s stupid. But you can’t deny the cypherpunk decentralization in an age of centralized grifting.

@brucefenton I kind of wish you didn’t clarify your post. I was enjoying the replies. I enjoy seeing all sides. You are good at bringing that out of people. Sometimes I feel guilty enjoying it as some of the remarks are so hateful and unfair towards you personally and this isn’t about you.

Clarification to the comments — no I’m not “liberal”. lol I’m a policy active republican and NH primary voter who will be active in supporting the right candidate this primary. I like lots about JD Vance and think he’s great on many things. I’d be happy to have him as President. I think this week severely damages him for the Republican Primary. Trump has become a liability - GOP primary voters are tired of America Second and operation warp speed step stupidity - the attack on the Second Amendment today will damage him significantly and he will be in a hard position as sitting VP to distance himself from Trump. The coalition is torched. There will be a strong field of GOP challengers and they will be hammering this, Epstein and other conservative failures and linking Vance to Trump who is sinking in popularity. I’d be glad to have him win and will support him if he wins the nomination but MAGA die hard Always Trumpers alone will not likely be enough for victory.

Look at how fast the slip into tyranny is. Brits have lost their freedom and their country. To get it back they’d have to fight 100 times harder than it was to lose it. We can’t give an inch more in the US and must take back what we’ve already lost.

I think interest/ riba / usury is bad. I think lots of things are bad. Privately, even more than publicly, I’m a very judgmental person. If governments banned everything I think is bad then we’d have a horrible totalitarian world full of darkness and violence. Freedom, not coercion is the way. Let markets work. Let people do things others think are bad. Use government only as a last resort and only for protection of life, liberty and property. This is the path to peace and freedom.

@brucefenton Sometimes, I’m surprised to see which of your posts gain traction. You post on a wide range of topics, and occasionally, I’ll come across a new post that doesn’t particularly interest me, but it surprisingly gains traction for others.

My ancestors were loyal to the crown and fought for Britain during the American Revolution so were not welcome when the rebels won. A British General was given a grant of land in Greenland and he gave some to his supporters and officers including my great great great grandfather for him to settle in Greenland. The Fenton’s stayed in Greenland 100 years and then came back to New England to almost the same town they left. Which is wild because it was 3-4 full generations later and those defendants only had the memory of the place. There are still Fenton’s in Greenland who we are related to.
