The most frivolous claim made against Israel is that it has occupied Gaza since 2005.
Ariel Sharon became the Prime Minister of Israel in 2005 and he decided to disengage from Gaza entirely.
It was incredibly divisive in Israel.
It tore the country apart.
He took all the 8,000 citizens who were living in Gaza, and he pulled them out kicking and screaming back across the border.
He even went so far as to order the rabbis to go to the cemeteries and to disinter the Jewish bodies in the cemeteries, to say to the Palestinian people, "You make your own state here in Gaza. You're by the water. You get billions and billions of dollars in aid from the United States and Europe and other countries around the world every year. You can be a Singapore in the Middle East."
One year later in 2006, Hamas overwhelmingly won the election in Gaza by promising to fight a never-ending war of extermination against the Jews.
They haven't had a single election since.
And many people believe that the many wars that Hamas has started with Israel since 2005, including the war on October 7th, were a direct result of Israelis disengaging from Gaza in 2005.
Whatever else might be said about Gaza, the claim that Israel has occupied Gaza since 2005 is utterly and verifiably false.

@melissaeweiss @LahavHarkov A journalist 🤦♂️ He’s a propagandist working for Russia. I wish him no harm but he’s certainly not there to do anyone good …
English

@novaramedia I wish him no harm but he’s a propagandist… RT indeed! What a joke.

@SteveSammut2 @doctor_rahmeh @Nigel_Farage The connection is latching onto things that happened or were written centuries ago and using them as proof of modern evils … racism is suddenly well out of the bag …
English

@leoschulz @doctor_rahmeh @Nigel_Farage Not sure the connection, but a lot. Ironically most of those that also support Trump!

What we witnessed in London at the historic Trafalgar Square, in a country built on Judeo-Christian values, was a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture.
We are not going to surrender everything that was built over centuries and defended at great cost in two world wars for us to be a free, independent nation.
The British people will not put up with this any longer — simple as.
English

@SteveSammut2 @doctor_rahmeh @Nigel_Farage How many islamophobes bang on about Mohammed’s marriage to Ayesha?
English

@leoschulz @doctor_rahmeh @Nigel_Farage In the Babylonian Talmud, Gittin 57a, it says that "Yeshu" (Jesus the Nazarene) is being punished in boiling excrement for leading people away from Judaism.
English

@SteveSammut2 @doctor_rahmeh @Nigel_Farage The Talmud is not scripture it’s someone’s opinion… you’ll find plenty of horror stories in the writings of the Christian saints and in the Muslim Imams … but they’re not scripture either, just random opinions

@SweeneySteve You’re not reporting at all … you’re justifying the aggression of Hezbollah

Israel says it is bombing bridges to disrupt Hezbollah supply lines.
But on the ground the reality is stark: entire routes into southern Lebanon are being severed — effectively cutting off around 1 million people from their homes.
Families who have lived on this land for generations now face the very real risk of permanent displacement, unable to return, rebuild, or even reach what remains of their communities.
What is being framed as a military tactic is also reshaping the map of civilian life
English

Why was Jerusalem holy other than the Judeo-Christian tradition on which Islam draws … I mean, I think the interconnection of the three faiths is interesting and positive … I’m not trying to claim priority … I think dragging out selective verses from the Talmud is pretty weak but Jesus’ Jewishness has been under-valued and there has been some great Jewish scholarship in recent years looking at him as a Jewish life, which is fascinating.
English

@leoschulz @doctor_rahmeh @Nigel_Farage As for your question about Jersusalem. The Prophet Mohammed Pbuh was taken there on a miraculous night journey. He didnt have a choice. He was taken there to symbolise its holiness and to symbolise the continuation of Prophethood.

Naveed Akram's family live in "constant fear" for their safety and have endured death threats, stalking and intimidation, his lawyer has told a Sydney court while seeking suppression orders over their identities.
The Akram family are now attempting to play the victim and are making it all about them.
The courts should show Akram the same mercy he showed his victims and their families.
Including 10 year old schoolgirl, Matilda.
None.
