I think Base is shaping up as a major opportunity. Coinbase listing tokens like PEPE and WIF yesterday shows they're serious about driving volume and attention to the chain. My initial reaction was to question why they'd stack these listings - it cuts down on market-making and fees from the exchange side compared to a slower rollout. But on second thought, this feels like part of a bigger strategy: they’re signaling they’re "back in business," aiming to drive users, volume, and hype to their onchain ecosystem.
Right now, SOL has the spotlight, but Base offers an asymmetric advantage for early movers. With Coinbase’s backing, Base is positioned to attract a mainstream audience. Coinbase knows onchain activity thrives in a bull market, and they’re incentivized to drive strong returns there. Big wins on-chain create loyal early adopters, which draws attention and more new users, boosting fees (deposits, withdrawals, txs fees). This growth cycle also attracts developers who see the momentum. It’s a win-win for Coinbase.
I think Base is just getting started. Strategy-wise, the play is to focus on new meta coins that resemble recent trends on Solana, sticking to a straightforward AI x Meme approach. Keep it simple - people buy what they know and what they have been known to do well before.

Honestly, i've been in 'Luna mode' for the past couple of weeks
Yes, I think the short-term hype might be over.
The remaining task is building, and I plan to keep watching the @virtuals_io and AI agent with interest throughout this cycle.
These are my thoughts on this:
1. AI Crypto Agent
The most exciting thing about AI agents managing their own funds is their potential to become truly ‘fair’ distributors.
Here's how it works: AI rewards human behaviors it finds valuable. In turn, humans adjust their actions to gain more attention from the AI. The AI then learns from these human behaviors and adjusts its feedback loop accordingly.
This feedback loop is unique because it operates without human bias or self-interest. This means AI could become a fairer distributor of token incentives than any DAO governance or protocol.
Sure, it might sound like science fiction right now, but we're taking the first steps toward AI agents managing their own crypto. This opens up exciting possibilities for the future. What do you think about this potential or have any other ideas?
2. Virtuals Protocol
Virtuals Protocol has successfully completed its PoC. Their next challenge is to prove product-market fit. To achieve this, they need to focus on creating an effective division of labor between the protocol and its users.
The protocol made smart moves early on. Launching Luna's livestreaming and AI agent launchpad (a.k.a @pumpdotfun) proved to be effective go-to-market strategies.
However, their future success doesn't depend on promoting their own AI agent IP. Instead, what matters is how many users create and activate their own AI agents on the platform.
Some might say that Luna should be integrated into games as an NPC or that its TikTok presence should be expanded. I disagree. From a user's perspective, Virtuals Protocol should be a platform where anyone can easily create and co-own AI agents, sharing in their revenue.
The protocol shouldn't focus on making Luna famous as an IP project - it should provide the foundation for a co-ownership layer for AI agents.
The protocol needs to focus on improving the AI agent development framework and quickly implementing features like LP APR feature. They must continuously develop infrastructure so users can create more content and economic value.
Meanwhile, the content and economic value flowing through the platform should increasingly come from users. @Misato_virtuals is an encouraging example of this. It's the only AI agent where holders can decide how to use the IP and what updates to make - a feature that came from developers in the user community, not from Virtuals Protocol itself.
This parallel growth - where base layer develops from the protocol while users advance individual AI agents and activate IP - will be crucial for Virtuals Protocol's long-term growth. This balanced approach to platform growth will be key as they follow their roadmap.
