POSOBIEC WARNS OVER IRELAND’S DEMOGRAPHIC SHIFT
@JackPosobiec argues Ireland is facing rapid demographic change, pointing to the rise in the foreign-born population and calling it a threat to the country’s national identity.

@MickOKeeffe This account does wonders for destroying the image of Ireland. I truly believe this account has had a negative effect on tourism into Ireland

@MichealMartinTD Fair play to sinn fein that money is needed at home.

@moneillsf Saying no to the world’s most powerful country on Paddy’s Day isn’t smart diplomacy. Letting emotions and a distant conflict dictate our foreign policy does Ireland no favours. Leave it to FF FG to mix it with the big boys

I have taken the decision not to attend this year’s St. Patrick’s Day events at the White House due to the situation in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
I deeply value the historic relationship between Ireland and the United States, and I remain committed to working with U.S. figures to strengthen our peace and grow our economy.
However, despite the hopes and promise offered by the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, horrific Israeli military attacks continue.
I cannot and will not look away from systematic human rights abuses and flagrant breaches of international law by Israel.
It is my responsibility as a political leader to stand firmly on the side of humanity.

@MaryLouMcDonald Skipping Paddy’s Day in the US? That’s a hole with no ladder. That won't be forgotten. You losing the run of yourself

I will not be attending St. Patrick’s Day events at the White House this year. The situation on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank remains dire. Israeli attacks on Gaza have not ended. The genocide continues.
It is important that Sinn Féin uses its voice to demand that international law is upheld and peace and justice prevail.
Ties between the people of Ireland and the United States are very important. As a party, we have deep and enduring bonds with that go back decades. These relationships were critical in the peace process and in the campaign for Irish re-unification. Those relationships will continue.

"The idea of a white male billionaire from England, living in Monaco for tax purposes, stigmatising migrants and welfare recipients and suggesting they're at the root of the UK's problems, is lazy, and it's offensive and it's depressing... It's also completely wrong" - Conor Pope reacts to Man Utd co-owner Jim Ratcliffe saying the UK has been 'colonised by immigrants'.
Ratcliffe made the comment in an interview with Sky News, in which he said: "You can't have an economy with nine million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in...I mean, the UK has been colonised. It's costing too much money".
Having received backlash over his comments, the billionaire released a statement on Thursday: "I am sorry that my choice of language has offended some people in the UK and Europe".

@MickOKeeffe Ireland has to make tough calls. Entering without permission and refusing to leave isn’t fair on the people of Ireland who pay taxes and abode by the laws

This Nigerian family is scheduled to be forcibly removed from Ireland today after ignoring orders to leave the country voluntarily.
The Oyekanmi's arrived in 2023 and quickly failed their asylum claim. They remained in Ireland and appealed the decision, which was also rejected.
The Dept of Justice offered them a payment of €10,000 and free flights home if they left voluntarily, but they refused.
A forced deportation is scheduled to be carried out today.

@punishablepress It's becoming extremely difficult for young Irish students to find part-time work in our towns and cities because of the increased numbers of international students flooding the jobs market.

🇮🇪🚨 BREAKING!
A teenage girl was gang-r*ped by five middle-aged men in Dublin!
This sounds eerily familiar to the UK scandal.
It also sounds like what happened at CityWest in October, when a 10 year old girl was attacked by an asylum seeker who had an outstanding deportation order.
There's a highly networked grooming operation taking place in Ireland but people are afraid to talk about it because the offenders are migrants.
