A new journey has begun, and I am very happy that everything went almost as I planned. There was only one downtime of individual features lasting 10 minutes, and no other problems. So I look forward to seeing you at conar.app, conar.ai, or conar.dev 😁

@letstri Even if I love the IDE, I agree the Git part is probably the worst part of @zeddotdev. It would need much clearer view and utilises just like Jetbrains IDE. Also the search is less clear than Jetbrains

@letstri @zeddotdev Zed is amazing, so fast and intuitive. The only issues I’ve run into are having to restart LSPs constantly, and a weird bug when dragging files from the file manager into a project — it just glitches and won’t let me drop them. Might be Linux-specific though idk.

@letstri If they just fix this LSP freezing BS then I’d abandon VSC in a heartbeat. I always come back once in a while and open a big turborepo to check if it’s still an issue and it always is…

I use Zed as a code editor and Cursor agents either inside Zed itself or as a separate app, depending on my mood. I hope the problems with LSPs are fixed soon, Git is improved, and then for me, Zed will be the best.

Cons LSPs often just freeze, and I have to restart them 50 times a day. Working with Git is very difficult for me; I almost never open the changes tab.
