The team and I have spent the past several months analyzing feedback from the community. What came through was the voice of people who care deeply about Windows and want it to be better. Read this blog post to learn more about what we're doing in response as we look to raise the bar on Windows 11 quality. Please keep the feedback coming, to help us shape the future of Windows together. blogs.windows.com/windows-inside…

@XenoPanther I hope it's better then 24h2, so many bugs and faults I only updated earlier this month

Microsoft’s new Xbox-Asus handheld is running Windows 11 Home but is optimized, which means it doesn’t have bloat and has fewer processes running in the background.
There’s a taskbar, but the task switcher is handled differently. Everything is built around the Xbox app and Game Bar.
When you power on an Xbox Ally device, it boots directly into a custom Xbox environment, loading only the services needed to browse and launch your PC and Game Pass titles.
Removing bloat and processes, and slimming down the desktop, frees up roughly 2 GB of RAM for your games and cuts idle power draw compared with the Windows desktop we use today.

I got a demo of how Microsoft is combining Xbox + Windows for handhelds. There's a new full-screen Xbox experience for Windows, which includes booting directly to an Xbox UI and not even loading lots of parts of Windows. Full deep dive here 👇 theverge.com/news/682011/mi…

@wieslawsoltes Does dotnet run require the SDK, or runtime can run scripts with dotnet run as well?

UWP support for .NET 9 is now built-in to Visual Studio! 17.13 Preview 3 includes brand new project templates, new Windows SDK 26100 (w/ updated XAML compiler), .NET SDK integration, and lots of improvements! Perfect time to migrate your apps to Native AOT! 🎉

@Loprez8 @stridedotnet @AvaloniaUI Maybe they rethink that decision since UWP getting support in .NET 9
English

@lexysss___ @stridedotnet @AvaloniaUI I think WinUI should be possible but Stride is currently in the process of removing their built in implementation of UWP due to a bunch of compatibility issues so I'm not super sure about that one.
English

Finally got #Stride3d rendering in an #Avalonia window! Now I just need to wait for the people smarter than me in rendering to tell me what I have done wrong 😅

@Loprez8 @stridedotnet @AvaloniaUI WinUI/UWP possible? It would be great be able to create graphics in Stride and UI for game on WinUI/UWP
English

@lexysss___ @stridedotnet @AvaloniaUI It should be fully accessible through the current ways of creating Avalonia systems. I still need to hook up the Avalonia input events into Strides input events.
This PRs purpose is to allow anyone to embed Stride into a UI framework like Avalonia, MAUI and Uno.

Today is a bit of a special day, as we can finally announce something I've been planning for and working on for almost two years now: UWP support for .NET 9 and Native AOT! Bringing all Windows UI frameworks to parity on modern .NET at last. Try it out! 🚀

@rocksdanister It looks great! Can I please take this visualizer to my media player? With an indication of the authorship and Lively Wallpaper of course
English

Excited to share that I’ve sent a PR to integrate Lively Wallpaper's music visualizer with Screenbox, a modern VLC based video/music player.
