@KubiakSavedMe @ItsYeyo95 Not to mention his WB gave him one of the highest uncatchable rates in this draft. I think his drops are more concentration than technique, and the amount of times he gets open and doesn’t get the ball is unreal. Love Ted Hurst too for same reason.
English

@ItsYeyo95 Can beat press and separate really well and is also very fast so not limited to one role, has pretty great YAC and can make some crazy catches, his hands and size somewhat concern me(mostly his hands) but if(I know) he can figure out the hands I don’t see why he can’t be good.
English

@ScottBarrettDFB @Nate_Tice @fakecorykinnan No problem! Always cool to be able to promote Nate or Cory.
English

even when watching Fernando Mendoza at Cal, it was how he operated on late downs, in the redzone, and in 2 minute situations that really won me over.
he’s played in some heavy RPO offenses, but there are plenty of true dropback concepts to watch him execute on.
Nate Tice@Nate_Tice
It's a lot of fun to watch Fernando Mendoza operate on 3rd and 4th down. He shows off a real understanding of the presnap operation and how to sort things out postsnap. And that's before you get to see his arm zip, aggressiveness, and ball placement on some of these throws.
English

@lfranco030 @Nate_Tice @fakecorykinnan Please link if you have it. Mendoza QB1 this time last year is a generational call
English

@ScottBarrettDFB @Nate_Tice I don’t always agree with both, but their history on the last few drafts has cemented both @Nate_Tice and @fakecorykinnan. They did a podcast last year on daft on draft
(was awesome) to listen to if you’re interested that featured Mendoza QB1 heavily.

@JustBlogBaby @leviidombroo 6-11 would be solid tbh and then gets us a elite wr in 2027 draft too!
English

According to Bleacher Report, the Raiders' "realistic expectations" under Klint Kubiak in Year 1 should be a 6-11 record.
Now, that may not be ideal. But I don't think it's as bad as most perceive. It could even be a win of sorts.

@JerkPunk11 @FB_FilmAnalysis He can bend, but it’s not an elite trait nor does he win often doing it. Reese is further away as an edge than Bailey/Bain, but he’s younger than Bailey, more juiced than Bain.
English

@lfranco030 @FB_FilmAnalysis Jared can bend, has great hand movement. Not just power
English

@JerkPunk11 @FB_FilmAnalysis It does if your explosive (Jared Verse). Tyree is a plodder off the ball so far
English

@FB_FilmAnalysis you know who did a lot of this in college, Tyree wilson. was stronger than most college athletes/Tackles and beat em with power. As you know, that doesn't work in the NFL
English

@CDonnick1 Or when you’re constantly being pulled out in 4th quarter so your younger brother can play.
English

@Eliastrejo I see where you came from, but Bell isn’t a Kubiak scheme OT based on precedent, and the lack of iDL makes this draft feel like a wash.

#RaiderNation the #Raiders draft next month.
This is my final mock draft with the compensatory picks included.
Las Vegas drafts two QBs in this draft.
They add athletes at Safety, WR, CB and RB in the first half of the draft after taking Fernando Mendoza No. 1.
In the final half of the draft they take 3 OL, a QB who falls and another athletic CB.
This draft gives them depth and players who have the physical abilities to make an impact in their rookie years.

English

I’m kind of iffy on his potential tbh. He added a LOT of weight, I think he left Cal at 215ish if I recall correctly one of the draft podcasts. I don’t think it’s a jump to say with his limbs and size his arm talent could jump, with him coming into nfl program. The thing I keep coming back to is he’s unknown. RPO offense makes it hard to say he’s a high floor guy, especially when they don’t let him snap pad, but I also think there’s enough mental toughness snap to snap in there we don’t usually see from the Goffs of the world.
English

Darnold 100% did, herbert had 10k passing yards and a 4+ to 1 td to int ratio, with 32 tds and 6 ints in his final year, and jordan love also replicated that statline, but shit the bed his junior season because his team sucked.
Ill give you josh allen though
Mendoza has the traits i guess, but his potential is way below any of the guys you mentioned. The on field product was also replicable by most of the guys you mentioned too. Mendoza also had the top oline, and 2 top 100 WRs this year, and probably one next year as well.
English

@BuniScouting @ScarletRavens_ @ScottBarrettDFB Jordan Love.
Justin Herbert was considered an underperforming QB.
I don’t recall Darnold or Allen putting massive stats up.
English

@ScarletRavens_ @ScottBarrettDFB lets see you find some successful nfl guys with traits but not stats at the QB position
trey lance
anthony richardson
oh wait
English

@ItsYeyo95 I’ll give him the tight window throws over the middle too, but that’s going away in the nfl with his accuracy issues
English

@FantasyKash It’s amazing to me people think Mendoza is the Kirk Cousins, and Simpson is some baby Rodgers type, when in reality Simpson is closer to the scheme limited, maxed out QBs we’ve seen come out
English

How does he have better traits (assuming you mean physical)?
Mendoza’s arm is at least as good, he’s 6’5 and built really well and is a tough runner
The sell on Ty is the processing and mental traits (classic coach’s son stuff). Rich man’s Purdy is the upside case
Marcus Whitman@TFG_Football
I imagine Dan is gonna get a lot of hate for this take but I don't think it's THAT crazy, and I agree with his points. Simpson has better traits and was.. without a doubt.. asked to make more "NFL throws" and put in a more difficult situation. (1)
English

@DemirtasJustin @BigBajwa24 @HaydenWinks I do like Lane, and Sarratt seems like your stereotypical day 3 guy. I just believe with where Raiders, more assets need to be on lines
English

@lfranco030 @BigBajwa24 @HaydenWinks True in a general perspective but I imagine Sarratt and Lane will be available in the 3rd, and the drop off for NT will be steeper

Round 2 Mock Draft, per @HaydenWinks
English

@DemirtasJustin @BigBajwa24 @HaydenWinks Surprisingly I think a true good X WR is harder to find. But I’m not sure Boston is that good, I’d rather have McDonald.
English

@BigBajwa24 @HaydenWinks I think getting an X receiver will be easier in Round 3 than an NT

One GM summarized the feelings around the league: “This is very much bullshit on Baltimore’s part.”
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
Other NFL GMs have a lot of questions after the Ravens backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade because of what they told the Raiders were medical concerns. @nflnetwork
