Not only did solar generate its most MW in Texas history today (32,334 MW), it also powered nearly 2/3 of the grid for much of the afternoon. Great to see our members powering Texas.

Greg Abbott has failed Texans for too long. He’s abandoned us in favor of his billionaire donors and now we’re all paying the Greg Abbott corruption tax. But I’ve never been scared of Abbott, because my priority will always be fighting for hard working Texans like you.

Solar provided ~50% of Texas' power for ~8 hours today, and for that entire time, wholesale power was free. #txenergy

Texas’ diverse power sources complement each other and help keep the grid strong. We’re proud to be: #1 in utility-scale solar ☀️ #1 in battery storage 🔋 #1 in natural gas 🛢️ #1 in wind 💨

Prudence matters. So do facts. In Texas, battery energy storage has: • helped avoid blackouts • lowered prices during winter storms • strengthened grid reliability as demand grows Our advisor Larry Linenschmidt explains why fear-based bans make Texans worse off. @LarryLinenschmi boernestar.com/article/12736,…

I never meant to run for office, but when my son's school was in danger of closing, I ran for school board to make sure that didn't happen. I'm not new to winning hard fights.

This is the interview Donald Trump didn’t want you to see. His FCC refused to air my interview with Stephen Colbert. Trump is worried we’re about to flip Texas.

Mr. Wielicki just posted a graph showing CO2 was higher 500 million years ago and thought he ended the climate debate. Let's talk about what else was happening when CO2 was at 4,000+ ppm: There were no humans. No mammals. No birds. The continents were in completely different positions. There were no polar ice caps. Sea levels were hundreds of feet higher. And the sun was actually dimmer, which means it took MORE CO2 to warm the planet back then, not less. You're literally showing us a graph of a planet that would be uninhabitable for human civilization and saying 'see? It was fine!' Fine for who, Mattie? The trilobites? And funny you highlighted the Permian period on your own graph, because that CO2 spike coincides with the Permian-Triassic extinction, aka THE GREAT DYING, when 96% of marine species were wiped out. You included the receipt for the worst mass extinction in Earth's history and thought it helped your argument. 'CO2 is not a pollutant!' Neither is water…until it's six feet deep in your living room. Context matters. Rate matters. The issue was never that CO2 exists - it's that we're pumping it out at a rate thousands of times faster than any natural geological process on your cute little graph. Also - 'IrrationalFear.com'? A geologist running a climate denial blog like it's a side hustle. Somewhere a rock hammer is crying.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

ICYMI - On Friday, Texas not only surpassed 30 GW of solar for the first time, but also powered 60% of the ERCOT grid for the first time. Incredible week for Texas solar, even in winter!
