@liam7988 @KeithMillsD7 Micromanagement, office chatter distracting , because of office leases - 3 nonsense excuses peddled about by people. Employers found it less productive, people were taking the piss, especially those with pets or kids.

“Controversial links”? What’s controversial ? How many Irish universities have links to China, Quatar..? But Connolly has nothing to say about that. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. Only country in the Middle East to have a Pride March. In whose name is she hitting out????

@liam7988 @KeithMillsD7 Theres lots of evidence from employers themselves, thats why they’re bringing people back. Any evidence of increased productivity is where employees are surveyed and ofcourse they feel more productive getting paid to walk the dog or cooking lunch with a teams call open.

The difference between @roisinmurphy and other supposedly outspoken Irish singers is that Roisin speaks on issues with risk attached. The likes of Moore and May simply spout safe, nodding-dog platitudes they know everyone will agree with. Conformity masquerading as conscience.

Where's Imelda Maye, Christy Moore and the rest to come to defend a fellow artist...oh yeah they're too busy calling the Irish 'racist'

@liam7988 @Independent_ie But it became a feature of their dwindling campaign which they did not honour. This, Varadka's statement and handling of the peaceful protest will come back to haunt them come the next election.

Sinn Féin's engagement with Arab Barghouti reflects their long-standing ideological alignment. Barghouti’s father, Marwan Barghouti, is serving multiple life sentences for his role in the murderous attacks of civilians and membership in a terrorist organisation. This raises questions about what priorities might shape a united Ireland under Sinn Féin’s influence. For those who reject comparisons between the Palestinian conflict and the Irish Troubles, such associations are particularly contentious. Framing violence as “resistance,” rather than emphasising negotiation and political compromise, challenges claims of inclusivity and will most certainly risk deepening divisions rather than resolving them.

@liam7988 @Independent_ie Yes they were struggling with getting votes and came out with this last minute promise. When they scrapped in with an amalgamation of other similar political parties they renegade on their promise.

@mark_robinson_ @Blakey_78UTD You missed getting rid of replays because 4 or 5 teams out of the entire FA happen to be successful and play in Europe too.

The real reasons the FA Cup has been devalued: - Clubs playing weakened teams - Rounds being spread over days, sometimes as many as five - Being on pay TV (i.e. not BBC or ITV) - Semi finals being played at Wembley - The final not being the last game of the season with a 3pm kick off Yet some people still blame it on United for not playing in it in 2000, even though they wanted to but weren’t allowed to. #MUFC #ManUtd #FACup

@mark_robinson_ Nope, don't blame them; as you rightly point out, they wanted to. All your other points are also correct; however, being pulled was the start of it. Plus, the boredom of pretty much the same clubs in the final, most of the time.

@mark_robinson_ Agree with your points but also there being 3, then 4 and now 5 Champions League places in the Premier League. Winning the FA Cup is now same value as finishing 6th in terms of the European place on offer.
