This is the last thing I wanted to do but Glasgow city council education services have left me no choice seen as they are fobbing me off on emails and some are even ignoring my emails. Olivia has been diagnosed with autism, has speech and language impairments and has an early development delay, she is also non-verbal, and a few weeks ago I got the heart breaking news that the AIG(Area Inclusion Group) plan on sending her to a mainstream school even after they have been supplied with countless pieces of paper work and evidence on why mainstream school will not suit nor will it meet Olivia needs. Conveniently enough I can NOT fight the AIG decision and I have to hope and pray that Olivia gets accepted to either of the 3 units I applied via placing request, if not I am then left again attending appeals and panels FIGHTING to get Olivia the education she is entitled to and that will meet her needs!! Baring in mind you do not find out placing requests till 30th April and school starts beginning of August!! What’s happening to ASN kids up and down this country is an absolute DISGRACE, and ultimately they expect Olivia to be put into a position where she is to fail before they step in to help her!! Olivia might not have a voice BUT I DO!! And I will not stop until she gets what I know she deserves!! Also if the “director of education” Douglas Hutchison can shed some light on why he has blocked me on Twitter I would appreciate it 👍🏼🤣 If you have managed to read all this post I really appreciate it, and please share as the more views and more people see this.. the better!! ❤️ @GlasgowCC @Doug_GCC @STVNews @Glasgow_Live
