Ichigo is one of the most ass-written MCs in anime. Yes, he inherited powers from almost every major race in Bleach, but that's not my issue.
My question is: how much of his journey was actually his own choice? Most great protagonists have a dream, a clear ambition, or a goal they're constantly chasing. Even average shonen series give their MCs that.
Yet Ichigo mostly reacts to the events around him instead of pursuing a personal dream and Bleach is still considered one of the Big Three....
