@soapcorriefan Honestly, CS has a habit of side lining couples right after they get married. Usually because the couple has gone off on a honeymoon, that we never get to see. In this case, the honeymoon was canceled because of a murder.

There’s suddenly a lot of discourse about there being no Swarla post wedding, but many of you were convinced it was groundbreaking storytelling because certain people told you it was. The proof was always going to be in the pudding with the follow up. The reality is they were heavily used during Lesbian Visibility Week for engagement, promotion, and as the backdrop to a murder storyline only to be sidelined again immediately after. If you genuinely think that’s acceptable treatment of a queer relationship, using it to pull viewers in because it’s popular, only to drop it the second the murder storyline kicks in then you can’t really complain now they’ve disappeared from screen again. That’s exactly the issue. Don’t use queer relationships for hype, engagement, and visibility points if there’s no real intention to invest in them properly beyond the over promotion. And the 30 minute episodes are only making it worse. I’ve watched one full episode since murder week. The pacing, transitions, and storytelling feel rushed, flat, and all over the place. Interesting how more people are finally starting to clock it.
