I can't wait for the term to be over so I can immerse myself in the latest book from #gileskristian . I absolutely loved #Camelot & and #Lancelot, so I have high hopes for this one!

@missjredwards This is so important - I'm going down to 4 days from September too. Lost sight of myself a bit this year and I don't want to compromise on what I do in the classroom. Breathing space for a day.

There are more creative/engaging ways than a 'what how why' paragraph... especially in year 7! Students were psychiatrists: diagnosing the psychopathic characteristics of the antagonist in Stone Cold- they found evidence (quotations) to back up their diagnosis and explained why.

@soph_the_loaf I saw this amazing holiday for book lovers - a week in Italy with like minded people, lounging by a private pool and reading all day! They throw in a few others things to bring everyone together at social times but I thought it sounded great!

Sometimes it’s hard in the holidays when you live alone and have no partner. 🙃

My narrative writing scheme is now on @LitdriveUK and I spent a lot of time working on character development being the crux of the task. Hopefully it helps to refine writing in the final run-in to exam season. 📝📝📝

The more I mark P1, Q5, the more I’m reminded that creative writing is a whole subject in itself. There’s so much to teach about the craft and so little time. 📝📝📝
