Exciting news! I have been appointed as the new Deputy Associate Dean Education (Learner Experience) at @UTS_Business for a 3 year term 😊 Still teaching Accounting, but stepping down as Deputy Head (Edu) of the Accounting Dept.

I like the inclusion of a future student.

My local NSW Liberal MP just sent me what I assume is meant to be a vote-for-him letter addressed to “Miss”! Seriously???

On Friday 13th January 2023, late evening Fiona Brooks passed away. She was ill with cancer for only a few weeks, so it was a shock, but she was at home, holding the hands of, and surrounded by, her family. She was a beautiful and strong person we will always love and miss.

@JennaPrice Education back in 1990. 50 assignments, each with interview notes plus interpretive questions. 45 mins-1 hr each to mark. Also a quiz plus final exam. No extra pay beyond 2 hrs tutorial pay. 🙁🙁 Not saying this because I think marking pay is good now.

#AcademicTwitter - what questions have ppl asked their tutors/teaching teams for feedback on your performance as their coordinator/manager? First experience teaching 1500+ and 15 teaching staff. Reviewing 360 feedback questions but not much designed for HE. Suggestions welcome!

@AmandasAudit Open endeds framed as what helps them as tutors: What’s working well for you now? What would you like more of? What’s not working? Have a focus group, ask them to respond to the questions at the start (Menti) then talk about it as a group. (1)

@JennaPrice Good service could have been because of his description of what it took to remove blue goo from laundry floor grout??

@JennaPrice An unopened laundry liquid pack split and poured its contents over the laundry shelf, down the wall etc. He complained. We received an apology and a large box with a replacement and multiple other cleaning and personal care products - and a reply paid envelope for the split pack.

Just bought petrol. WW docket said expires 23/10/2021 ie today. Attendant said it has expired - date means it’s valid before the printed date! Huh???

@JennaPrice New lenses last year with anti-fog coating - wipe over before wearing. They work fairly well but not cheap. I also cross over the mask straps to pull the sides down a little then staple the gaps to cope with my face shape and keep nose and mouth covered!
