🧠Mental illness can make it incredibly difficult to maintain stable housing, secure employment, and access essential services. At Light of Life, we provide mental health support, counseling and a caring community to help individuals address the root causes of their homelessness.

Here are a few snapshots from our Prayer Walk for the Homeless this past Saturday! We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who joined us in lifting up the homeless, our city, and Light of Life in prayer. Your presence and prayers make a real difference in our community.

Our Food Pantry served 10,000 meals last week to our neighbors in need! We're committed to ensuring every family has access to nutritious food so no one has to face hunger alone. Our Food Pantry is one way we provide a lifeline for those who need a helping hand.

Our Executive Director, Rev. Jerrel T. Gilliam, and our Women's Shelter Manager, Lateresa Blackwell, were honored at the Pittsburgh Circle of Courage Awards! This award honors Pittsburghers who embody the virtues of faith and courage through their impactful work in our community

Our annual staff and client picnic last weekend at Moraine State Park was a hit!☀️ These experiences help to deepen relationships, strengthen trust, and remind us all of the joy that comes from simply being together and having fun.

Summer at Light of Life is in full swing, and our Women and Children's Program is bursting with LIFE!🌈🦋 Each day, the our families engage in activities that foster growth and connection. Recently, they took field trips to Living Treasures and Round Hill Spray Park!

Through @feedthechildren, @FedEx interns joined us to pack backpacks for the children in our programs, and those from our partner organizations to prepare for back to school!#FedExCares Each bag was filled with: 🎒School Supplies 🧼Hygiene products 🧃Meal Kit

Our team has been distributing ballcaps to our guests at our Day Center! These caps will provide essential sun protection during the summer heat, helping everyone stay cool and comfortable. 🌞🧢 #SunSafety #CommunityCare #LightOfLife
