I'm actually on the fence about EA removing micro transactions from Dynasty and RTG, not all of us have time to grind the game to upgrade players. Feel like this wasn't fully thought through by the community. Only the broke people were mad lol

2k creators need to complain about VC prices way more. I’ve said it every year, imagine being a kid convincing your parents to buy you a $70 game & then asking for another $100 just to be able to compete on the game. 2k really makes it impossible for new or younger players.

For people that still don’t seem to understand #CFBPlayDontPay, the issue is not just that microtransactions are in our sandbox modes… it’s that XP and Progression have been seriously slowed so that the only real way you can fully upgrade is by using real money after you’ve already paid for the game

blogged this morning about why I think everybody in the college sports world, from fans to ADs, ought to care about potential backlash to EA over CFB27 changes. Not only could it mess with royalty payments, it's a reminder. You can't push customers forever:

@MattBrownEP Everything that’s happening is such an overreaction. All EA did was make CFB a modern game. Every single game has microtransactions. They’re clearly gearing road to glory to an online mode based on the changes.

I find it so interesting in old EA titles, as you raise the difficutly in Road to Glory, it would give you less and less XP to increase the challenge Now they've decided you'll get less XP for wanting to play on an easier difficulty, or without wear and tear on, at the same time they introduce microtransactions to the mode. Coincidence? #CFBPlayDontPay

People playing Dynasty are upset about the microtransactions in CFB..and I get it. But if they spent a week playing NBA 2K they'd be shocked. The reality is that paywalls are becoming the norm, even in modes that used to be built for offline players. Going forward, this is the precedent developers are setting and that's the part that should concern everyone.

My god Bordeaux stop with the crying. You are making tons of money off this game. you cannot sit here and try to use the "I wont collab with EA if they do not fix the Microtransactions" when in fact it doesnt hinder you in anyway. You are still making money off of their content, playing this game every single day.

These design choices inside College Football 27 are really hard to ignore due to EA's recent decisions If I start a Road to Glory as a 5-Star Pure Runner QB in CFB 27, my overall is only a 73. In CFB 26 with the same build, my overall would start as a 80 You would also have some physical abilities already unlocked and upgraded in CFB 26 as a higher rated recruit, but even as a 5-star in 27, I'm starting college with 0 The microtransactions are out of order for me and I'm trying to figure out why they're sorted this way Dynasty defaults to Online now, instead of Offline like it did on CFB 26. It only gives you reasons to select Online, which is the one with micro transactions When you double down on your stance, and lose the trust you have built within the community, the smaller things that I would never question are seen in a much different light. Do what's right. #CFBPlayDontPay
